u r sooooooooooooo wrong . first of all your basic assumption is that in order for her voice to be soulful she cant hit those money notes - wrong!!!

her most emotional performances r the ones with those money notes....

 

secondly - how can u even compare celine to britney , celine never had anything other than her voice - she was never pretty , she was never "cool" and she never used her private life in order to promote her career . people always loved celine because of her voice . what makes her voice that special is those long and clear notes , that what makes people who watch her on TV say - "wowwwwwwwwwww

this lady can sing" and not those "soulful" notes as u call it .

I think this is great news! this means celine releases nothing between oct. '05 and aug. '07... that's two years out of chart-selling-releasing-promo-blabla. I think this can be only good for Celine. Sure we've had at least one album if not two within one year in celine's carreer! its time to change the quantity into quality! Celine has nothing to proof ... and if she decides to give us something new every three years its okay with me!

 

i love her! and I love the direction she's heading these days...

The World's Best Selling Female Artist has sold over 230 million records worldwide, and is going to conclude her sold-out Las Vegas spectacular - "A New Day" on December 31, 2007. This 4-hour finale event will feature a performance of selected songs from "Meant to Fly" and rare once-in-a-lifetime duets with musical superstars. Actually the music will be composed by her usual French team, which is all male. The lyrics are written by women. It is a nice balance - music by men and lyrics by women.

 

No reason to assume that the album will be too feminine for guys to enjoy.
