thevoice Posted September 10, 2006 at 02:36 PM Posted September 10, 2006 at 02:36 PM u r sooooooooooooo wrong . first of all your basic assumption is that in order for her voice to be soulful she cant hit those money notes - wrong!!!her most emotional performances r the ones with those money notes.... secondly - how can u even compare celine to britney , celine never had anything other than her voice - she was never pretty , she was never "cool" and she never used her private life in order to promote her career . people always loved celine because of her voice . what makes her voice that special is those long and clear notes , that what makes people who watch her on TV say - "wowwwwwwwwwwwthis lady can sing" and not those "soulful" notes as u call it .<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Her voice ain't enough these days. I bet Sharon will LOVE it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> u see , i think her voice is more than enough . and i never said that i want her to scream - u know that i hate it when she is screaming like in LCMM . i love it when she is hitting those long and clear notes .and about sharon - i'm not sure he'll be alive til then and anyhow he is not in a position to judge anything this days Quote
Céline's Blues Posted September 10, 2006 at 02:42 PM Posted September 10, 2006 at 02:42 PM You know there will be no place for those long and clear notes on a French album full of poetry. Well although well...Pappilion comes close. I wish she would sing it live one day. And don't you talk about Ariel this way! He will be alrite and we'll both will indulge again! thevoice Posted September 10, 2006 at 03:00 PM Posted September 10, 2006 at 03:00 PM OMG seb it's just....just...wrong and there is room for those notes no matter the conept - it brings something more , something special . Quote

sayyed Posted September 10, 2006 at 04:18 PM Posted September 10, 2006 at 04:18 PM (edited) I think this is great news! this means celine releases nothing between oct. '05 and aug. '07... that's two years out of chart-selling-releasing-promo-blabla. I think this can be only good for Celine. Sure we've had at least one album if not two within one year in celine's carreer! its time to change the quantity into quality! Celine has nothing to proof ... and if she decides to give us something new every three years its okay with me! i love her! and I love the direction she's heading these days... PS: I have the feeling this topic will have 150 pages in july '07... Edited September 10, 2006 at 04:19 PM by sayyed Quote https://soundcloud.com/finnremixes

This eclectic album features the official song of Air Canada, "You and I," which was released on her platinum-selling live album "Celine Dion: A New Day... Live in Las Vegas." Dion has collaborated with long-time friend and producer David Foster to record 15 new tracks, including a cover of fellow Canadian Sarah McLaughlin's haunting ballad "Angel." When Ms. McLaughlin heard the news, she immediately sent Celine 555 roses, a source tells AP. A source also tells AP, because Rene Angelil guaranteed Sarah McLaughlin a royalty check of at least $500,000 for the use of the song. Celine Dion continues her collaboration with Air Canada. On March 15, 2007, "lucky" Dion signed an unprecendented contract to receive $35 million, just by recording this album "Meant to Fly," featuring songs that carry the "spirit of Air Canada." Celine Dion will be making a worldwide tour to Asia, Australia, South Africa, UAE, South America, and Western Europe on the "Meant to Fly Tour - Sponsored by Air Canada" beginning on April 1, 2008. The World's Best Selling Female Artist has sold over 230 million records worldwide, and is going to conclude her sold-out Las Vegas spectacular - "A New Day" on December 31, 2007. This 4-hour finale event will feature a performance of selected songs from "Meant to Fly" and rare once-in-a-lifetime duets with musical superstars. To appear on stage, celebrating with Dion are Tony Bennett, Cher, Tina Turner, Elton John, Michael Bublé, Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Sarah McLaughlin, John Legend, Brian McKnight and fellow Canadian friend Shania Twain. Master of Ceremony of the Event will be Ellen DeGeneres. Honorary Chairpersons for this Event are Oprah Winfrey and Stevie Wonder. Ethan Posted September 10, 2006 at 07:27 PM Posted September 10, 2006 at 07:27 PM (edited) Everything u said it's right Siuro but Miry(as now friends call her)said too much female touch we want some testostherone <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually the music will be composed by her usual French team, which is all male. The lyrics are written by women. It is a nice balance - music by men and lyrics by women. No reason to assume that the album will be too feminine for guys to enjoy. / Ethan Edited September 10, 2006 at 07:30 PM by Ethan Quote http://www.myfilehut.com/userfiles/20444/signature.jpgThe true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible. - Oscar WildeThanks to ByuSmurf for the image
