No, I won't even consider this before I hear her saying. I won't. I don't even want to hear any discussion about it. I don't want to do this to myself.

 

Let me just be the happiest with the CD news. The rest will come with time.

we know for almost a year now that rene is planning a series of huge concerts in france for late 2007/early 2008 - maybe those concerts will be part of the promotional tour for this album .

Yes, we know. We already know Céline's LTAL tour manager is preparing the summer concert series. For 2008 I think it was? In 2007 it's quite improbable, tho. But it will happen. It's supposed to be 5 sold out nights at Stade De Paris.

It is the first time after 2002 that we know that an album will be released ONE YEAR LATER . We always learned about the new (and semi-promoted) albums 3 months before, right?

 

Maybe this time the promo will be more serious!!

I was so moved by the French people's response to Celine when she went to Paris with On Ne Change pas- they loved her and screamed for her and chanted her name- just like they did 10 years ago- it really made me so happy to see her being embraced like thet- like she is the biggest and most important star out there- so so cool. This album will be great with promotion- Celine has always thrived on hype and media saturation. That's what needs to happe from now on.

Like with Vegas- so many British people don't even know about that- they're like- she's in Vegas- How? we need people to notice. I'm so glad for this.

Sounds as though the lyrics will have depth with JJG involved-he has been a good luck charm for Céline for yrs. 1fille4type, D'eux, SSDA were great French cds.

I am waiting patiently for this interesting French album. Hopefully Céline will release an English cd in the next few yrs.

However, Celine seems to be putting herself in a TRIANGLE....

 

If she's not in Vegas (or sometimes LA), she's in Quebec, and if she's not in Quebec, she's in France.

 

It seems like the only time she's out of those areas is when she's vacating in the Carribeans....

Just to make it clear for everyone else: Céline will be singing lyrics of NOT ordinary song writers but of real world book authors. It will be either little stories or poetry.

 

I hope Brigitte is one of them since she is a French book author, actress, singer and dramatist.

Great news! I only wish that celinedion.com would confirm it. You would think that if Rene mentioned it in an interview that he would contract celinedion.com and ask them to let fans know on the same day that this press item was released. I guess that is too much to ask?

First of all I don't think the work of Anne Geddes horrible. With or without Céline her work is great. And I don't think Miracle was such horrible thing. It had a very specific concept and sure it wouldn't appeal to everyone. Not everyone likes babies. But then these people won't have to buy it and an artist doesn't have to avoid a concept she loves because of some people won't be interested. I'm all for artistic freedom.

 

And about the jazz album... I find it hard to have both an english and a french album released next year. Why announce the french one and not the english one?

 

If it happens, better. I can never get enough of Céline.

I was just thinking about this today. It has been said 10 women wrote lyrics. But a 10 song album is very short. Céline usually makes it 12 or 13 songs. Unless one of the writters wrote more than one song, Céline could have written some too. I would love it!

I would've given everything to attend Au Coeur du Stade. It'll be awesome when she comes back here, even if she doesn't go back to the Stade de France. OMG, I can't wait.

If there's a concert in Europe, I'll do ANYTHING to be there. And I mean it.

My prediction is:

 

In 2007, we will get a lot of promotion towards the end of the year for Celine's last shows in Vegas. With that, we will finally get the DVD of the show...probably a few months before it's over...promoting it even more.

 

Also in 2007, we'll get the new French album...probably with a "making of" DVD with bonus footage....and a lot of live performances of the new songs on French TV.

 

In 2008, she will continue promotion for her French album, and announce plans for touring. All touring will probably be done in the French speaking areas of the world before anywhere else, because she has to promote and sing the songs from the new album.

 

Later in 2008, a new English album will be released with a bonus DVD. And she will start touring in the English speaking parts of the world in addition to everywhere else. Not to mention all of the interviews and other TV time she'll have! Celine will be back on the radio! YES!!

I'm not expecting any tour. It's not been confirmed yet. Let's take one thing at the time. The album is confirmed, let's wait and see what comes next.

 

Even if she tours, it won't last long. Even her team doesn't want it. Patrick himself said it won't last long. And she will take a long break. The Vegas thing has been very tough on her. I rather have her taking a break for a year or two than having a soulless exausted Céline.

 

I wouldn't be counting on a world tour. A small tour in Europe is the only thing that was mentioned. And they didn't even had a date because it was too soon.

 

I'm just trying to get hold of what we know for a fact. A lot of things can be speculated but I rather get away for speculations and get the facts. And even so, it's yet too soon to know.
