she needs to come back to North America at some point!

I attended her last concert of TLFEM tour in Grenoble.

 

Fans were really exciting and they preapared a nice surprise for her. They gave a light to each person at the entry and when they gave the signal, we all lighted up our lighter. It was really cool and Lara loved that !

I read about it in the french section... it sounds interesting. I'm not pretty sure what it's about, but I think it has to do about women in all different kind of situations... and it's also Russian themed... songs are in French, English, ( Italian and Spanish?)

Yes you're right.

It's a new album and totaly a concept album and yeah english and spanich songs are planed. If you let me add another thing, it seems that each songs will have its own video clip. The pics I posted yesterday are from blogs and russian media where she's currently shooting these clips. She's working with a young and talented director Alan Badoev. The extracts are really

 

The album will contain 11 songs, and each song has a video clip story (??).

 

For example :

- one will take place in a concert hall wich will be invaded by terorists...

- another story will be recorded in a concentration camp during the war..

- one will be played in a fantastic world...

 

etc..

 

It's quite weird but I admit that the making of (online) and the pics are really fascinating me...

Other than being younger than Celine, I don't know of anything else. But keep in mind, I'm very biased in these posts So I can't see any other singer better than Celine. Haha!

Except her wonderful voice and her charisma! Lara's song are LARA's song! I am really wondering if Celine's carrier is really intresting! Celine's hit and singles are not MY Celine's song! It's only other people's song that was remixed for her, and she only had to come into the studio recording and sing over the instrumental!

Lara is one of my faves. She is not as versatile vocally as our Celine, and when she belts it is not very pleasant to the ear, but to deny that she is a great vocal singer is absurd. I mean you could not like her as a person or singer, but to say she has no talent is rather far from the truth.

Qualities I praise in Lara:

She's puts a lot of emotion in her songs. Especially live, she's one of a kind.

au contraire! I think Lara is very commercial! BUT she didn't succeed! She (and Sony) tried to put her in Céline's gap when she went on a break in 2000. But that didn't work and I think it actually did the opposite! I think that if Lara tried to break through in English around 1996, she could have had the chance, but in 2000 the big belting ballads were already out of fashion.

 

Her last 2 french albums might not be so commercially sounding, like Pure & Nue, but look at all the limited releases etc she has, if that aint commercial

 

 

I like about Lara that she writes her own music and lyrics, that she's an amazing vocalist. but sometimes I do question her honesty, and might even say she lacks 'soul'... but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy her music

Last night Lara surprised the canadian audience with a great concert at the Plaines, for the Quebec’s Summer Festival 2010. In a gorgeous white dress, she delivered to the public some her classic hits, since Carpe Diem til TLFM. A total of 20 songs, accompained by 6 musicians and 3 chorists. The public was around 15.000 people.

 

look at the setlist!! It's amazing!!! I hope she'll give a concert like that in Europe too! though her last tour was OK, I'd rather hear her own (old) songs, than all those covers!!

WOW!!! i really love the album Carpe Diem, i only downloaded it about 6 months ago and it's wonderful. I hope we can get to see high quality clips of that concert. Post links here if you find any.
