I kinda miss the echo in this version by Lara, but its not too bad. vocally the most emotional one 8/1011) Angel (Sarah McLachlan) oke I was fearing this song, cos it's been covered too many times, and none reach the level of Sarahs version but I have to say, this cover is maybe the best one I've heard. 8.5/10 halfway through I am finding it a lot of the same... and at the end it's comfirmed...too much piano, it's like a night at a piano bar! LOL TLFM is much more diverse musically! that is lacking in this album too bad I expected more! her voice is amazing, but the songs could/should have been more different from each other. it would have been nice if there was an english version or somethign like TLFM on this album... If she had done this concept with her own songs it wouldn't seem so underwhelming. I hope she was using the time she saved by not writing songs for TLFM and EWIM to write even more great songs really soon. Quote

Lots of artists nowadays let a keyboard into the studio making all the 'sounds'.This is so much more real: Lara and piano! Love it! It's only a pity she did four songs Tina Arena did already on her "Songs Of Love & Loss" albums: "Close To You" by Karen Carpenter, "The Man With The Child In His Eyes" by Kate Bush, "Both Sides Now" by Joni Mitchell and "Do You Know Where You're Going To" by Diana Ross. I'm sure these covers take a whole new meaning when she sings live but the album versions were quite boring. I really love the song "Crazy" and I had high hopes for the song...but nah, Lara didn't impress me. She has an amazing voice but I wish she would've played more with the songs (or maybe slightly different arrangements)....now it felt like there was only one loooong song with some high and low points. I did like "River", "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Angel" btw: Who plays the piano? Lara? I wished she'd done more with the music, like she did with TLFM. maybe she plays the piano herself. it does seem to me that the songs were recorded in one track, so if she plays the piano too, that would make it more special...but still the same level of boring! I wonder what kind of show! A normal french one... one for the TLFM album... or an English one!?! Honey, we saw her on March 29th and both shows are curerntly listed at the same venue, a concert hall in Tel Aviv.I do hope that she sings older stuff and perferably mostly french.. they're abit less crappy than her new crap...
