Their stories are so much more moving. How they struggled with their sexuality. How their family took it. How their friends took it. I have one friend, a very prominant radio personality here in Ireland, who I knew since we were both children and the way he tells his story is fascinating. But I just feel that people should not pretend to be something they are not, whether that be gay, bi or straight! Shops, cafes, social groups (theatre groups or the like)... there are loads of places. The same places you meet straight people. Don't be afraid to ask someone out if they seem interested in you. Whether they are gay or straight its not that big a deal. I have been asked out by guys a few times. I just say, "Sorry, I'm not gay" and thats it.
