In my stupid country its shame to be gay, 90% ppl think its better to have son who is criminal, murder or something like that...

 

I didn't know it's like that in Bosnia.

 

I'm not gay but I don't think that being gay is something awful really. It's not! It's just like... You know, some people are left-handed & some people are right-handed, some people adore coffee and some people prefer tea. So it's the same with homosexuality in some way. I mean, whether you are atrracted by people of the same sex or not - aint' nobody's business. It's your life and it's for you to decide how to live it. And to live and pretend - that's too bad.

 

I'm gay and I'm very proud

 

Why? I mean, what exactly are you proud of, Patroclo88? No offence , it just makes me wonder what makes gay people feel proud about being a gay. And how did your parents and friends reacted to your being gay? I'm just too damn curious!

I said that I am proud, because there are a lot of gays that don't accept the fact of being gay and try to hide this...there aren't any other reasons...anyhow my parents don't know that I am gay...but some friends know it...my friends at the beginning thought that I was joking, but after they understood and accepted the fact...because they said:"We can loose you...you are very important for us...our friendship won't never end!!"

I for one am proud of my heterosexuality! I have no problem admitting to my friends and family that I am attracted to women!

 

Really though, Boy was right there. It doesn't make much sense to be proud of your sexuality. I'm straight, others are gay. Its a fact of life. Be proud of your achievements in life, not the way you were born. You didn't have to work for it, therefore there's no reason to be proud of it!

Still I'm glad about my heterosexuality. However, some people think I'm gay. It's because I spend a lot of time with my best friend. And both my friend and me are quite tired of telling that we are not gays but just best friends... We'be been friends for about 11 years already and when we were kids nobody asked what were we doing or smth like that but hardly we grew older and everybody started asking what were we doing that we spent so much time together... And whenever I go to his place my mom always asks why am I going to him!

But sometimes you cant be proud, i'm not proud becouse ppl hate gay population and telling them about your sexuality can bring only problems. I'm dreaming to tell that to my pearents...

Well I am gay (duh) I was 100% sure of it on my 18th/18th

 

I told my parents last year, especially coz my dad is 'oldfashioned' and didnt knew how he'd react, but it went nice lol

 

And yea I am 'proud' but I aint walking around telling everyone. If they'd ask me I will answer honestly about it. Still people think they are funny saying someone is gay too fast, based on things like loving celine or mariah's music lol

That's pretty f**ked up, imo

 

But in my country it's allowed to marry though, but still people have issues with it, I dont care, I live in a free country. But you hear alot of things like gays got beaten up etc.
