I’ve always understood that the third new song would be unveiled during the shows (part of the setlist) but not properly released as a single before or even during the residency. If the news about a live recording being released before Christmas is actually true, maybe they would make it the promo single of the CD/DVD. And what about those three new songs not being included in the future French album ?

Back in late March Le Parisien wrote that the third single would come out on September 12, coinciding with the shows in Paris.

The reason Shania's recent album bombed is because it's awful. I love Shania. However, I'm not blind (or deaf) to what was released. The album comes across as pandering as if to say, "See! I'm still country! I haven't turned my back on you! Please still love me!" The lead single, "Dirty Rosie," is ridiculous -- even for Shania. Also, the production is just too much. I really hope she releases music in the future, but nothing of this lackluster quality.

Sadly Shania lost it until the otherwise is proven (And I'm a big fan of her since 1997)

New albums in English and French are scheduled for next year. But an English single doesn't seem impossible to me.

Why not though? I love the neatness of it. It wouldn’t really feel like being a Céline fan if we weren’t waiting for the French album, French promo, French tour and then the same for English but completely separate

It’s a routine that feels like home to me, and probably to other fans too, and most likely to Céline herself. It’s part of the many quirks that make her special, she doesn’t have to do what makes sense or what happens to be the norm at the time.

Yes, Le Parisien is some sort of official partner in this residency. They've been doing a couple of series of articles on Céline this month... earlier this month, a 6-article series on how France "adopted" Céline, and now another 6-article series called "Céline Dion intime". 

The relevant portion of yesterday's article, re: the JJG song said:

"What's Céline Dion up to this end of June, just a little over two months before her return to stage? Everything but farniente (lazing around)! For several months now, the artist has been spending time in the studio to shape her new album. During our time in Las Vegas, she welcomed Jean-Jacques Goldman for the recording of a second song that he wrote for her, following Dansons."

That's all they say about it.

I saw that he's scheduled to play some gig in France tomorrow in solidarity for the wildfires. I wonder if that means he's traveling to Paris with Céline's musicians... I have a feeling he'll be a "surprise guest" during the residency...

Honestly I think these two careers do not exist, she has only one career, she does music in French because it's her language, and she does English album to touch more people.
