I got selected.

But they completely made me lose interest in going. I still have a day to figure it out.

My relation with Celine has become toxic and I don't want to run only when they call.

Marketing-wise, this whole comeback could have been built with more subtlety than blatantly taking me/us for cash cows.

They built anticipation with some tiktok videos only to show she's not dead, not out of sincerity or willingness to do it. They put on sale 16 concerts , they sold them out and pouf they vanished for 2 months.

Now they come back for more money out of the blue and still not a word from Céline. She is in her ivory tower and she just sent the trainee to call us.

Nope.

Why are you even taking this personally? You will not be seen as someone who is running when they call. Nobody will judge you for that. And it means nothing. You are an adult and you have an option - to either see your favourite singer perform live or not to see her.

Whether Team Celine or Celine herself are being instrumental, or less emotionally involved, means nothing. Because you still get to choose. Not to mention that a certain level of instrumentality is to be expected since this is business. Many did not manage to get a ticket, which would have been the case irrespective of dynamic pricing, so now there is a second chance. That's all.

Once bitten, twice shy and all that…

I won’t be jumping through hoops again for anyone thank you very much!

Thank you for proving my point. I swear, if the upcoming tour took place in London instead of Paris, you would not complain about any that.

It’s the silence Davey…

when she announced her Vegas return she did interviews… Oprah for example amongst others just as an example.

This return is bigger for obvious reasons and she’s done nothing so far, no update on how she got to this point following on from her doc.

And as amazing as it is that Paris sold out and the new single is great and all that… she obviously doesn’t have to promote this residency, but she does need to check in ahead of these shows with an update, as it all feels a bit strange.

She has still to prove that she can sing live on stage. Everything we have seen so far has been lipped. A single can be edited and take various takes like we seen in her doc. So was it the same scenario with Dansons or has something incredible happened since she recorded Love Again.

This is something a lot of fans have an issue with and does need addressing, but instead she’s announced more dates. So it does seem like the open book is closed at this point but the bank is wide open for fan money.

Lets see maybe she will do a sit down soon with someone to update us after 2 years.

I get the frustration with the silence. Especially with the tiktok videos that were promising, but almost seem forgotten now. But we've had that every time, with live streams, on this day posts, personal posts like her halloween decorations and finger food... hell even with her glasses, her purses, her parfums! But that's the way it goes and it's no use getting frustrated by that.

Like I said before, I think that at this moment Céline is highly focused on preparing for the concert and recording the new album. Why would she do interviews at this point? The shows are sold out. The album isn't done yet, so nothing can be said about a release date. And Céline and her management would never put her name and reputation for grabs if she wasn't able to perform live!

Europe is a big place… Europe isn’t just Paris.

Give other countries a chance and I’m not just talking about London.

And how they did the whole ticketing thing last time round was beyond stressful and unfair to a lot of fans, so I will not be taking part in that again if it is exactly the same process was the point I was making.  I have gotten tickets for other huge names over the last year and a bit and it was done much better than how her Paris dates were done.

You're kinda contradicting yourself here. Because now they are offering all the people who prescribed for the first presale a chance to buy tickets again. As for now there won't be a general sale. IMO it would be much weirder if they announced Berlin instead and said: oh yeah only you Paris people can buy tickets. So I think it's a very smart choice to add more concerts only for the initial subscribers.

And again... this is just the restart. She won't be stuck in Paris for the rest of her life!

Given that they kept on adding dates. We can assume that she will tour in different countries. Many fans really wants to see her but not chosen while others complain because of silence? We are making headlines now. It's BIG! We are all curious if she can still sing LIVE in her concerts. (I will not count the guestings from Fashion shows and Olympics as it's not a CONCERT). Her last concert was back in Courage Tour 2020. Curious? Then, if picked GO to the concert and see it for yourself if she really can still do it. If you don't want because you don't like her. Let's give them to the fans WHO REALLY WANTS to see her LIVE by selling it. EVERYBODY WILL BE HAPPY! You buy the ticket.. sell it to the fans.. they will be happy.. you will be happy because it will bring back your expenses from buying the tickets.

"you will not be taking part in that again".. Have you been picked before and bought ticket?

No one is forcing you to go to a concert. What I wonder is... how much different is this from about 10 years ago? When she was in Vegas since 2011 again and Live 2016 or Live 2017 were announced? We always have to make plans and buy tickets quickly. It's never Céline being in an interview like: "Oh yeah I am doing a tour and you can buy tickets over 2 months".

A few years ago we were afraid she could never sing or perform again. Now she has announced 26 concerts, released a single and is recording a new album. Count your blessings!

I know no one is forcing me. I didn't state otherwise.

To be honest, I don't understand this kind of reaction.

I am fully aware that I am an adult and have the freedom to go or not.

I am just expressing my feelings and the reasons behind them. That's it. What's wrong with it?

Sorry but some of you have weird comments ... I know no one cares but this is my current self considering the current situation. It's not because something was done that way or accepted 10 years ago that it must be today.

These are my values now and if anyone feels the need to judge me personally for that (like I read), the issue is not me 🙂

But saying having a toxic relationship with Celine. What's that? She has gone through a lot with that rare sickness and your excuse of not wanting her anymore is because of silence? And you are shocked or don't understand why you have this kind of reaction from the fans? LOL

Anyways. I count this as a blessing that we can still see her LIVE and doing what she loves. WE HAVE SO MUCH BLESSING as fans for this year and the following year. NEW TOUR, ADDED DATES, POSSIBLE DVD/STREAM CONCERT, NEW MUSIC, NEW MOVIE and many more to come.

Nah it’s just you and shamrock who have that issue. Everyone here is so happy with all happening here.

And I think at this point she don’t need to prove to anyone that she can still sing 😂

So guys, it looks like they are now focusing on residencies in Europe instead of a permanent Vegas residency. I like that! Why make people from all over the world fly to Vegas? She surely enhances the European economy!

Europe won’t be big enough to let her fill these big venues for years and years though. What place beside London could she do to keep attract people? All of the major European capital cities are within 2,5 hours from each other.

Imagine describing your relationship with Celine as toxic, insincere and exploitative, and when people respond to this, you frame them as the problem. WILD. Just WILD.

What in the s*** show is going on here. Good morning people 😂

I think we should all agree that two things can be true we can be excited that Celine’s back and still HATE this team and how they only communicate with us when they want our money. But it’s nothing new it’s been that way since Rene died.

And it's always been the case that Celine as every other performer out there announces a show at a certain city and the fans have to come if they want see the live show.

I don't see the problem here with Celine and Paris. Some see it as a problem that "Celine calls and the fans have to follow". It's always been that way, how should and could it be different?

If she's back to regular performing after this big comeback and after the biggest hype from the general public is gone, she can always choose some smaller venues instead of the biggest arenas out there if the plan is to do residency kind of runs somewhere

It’s completely different from 10 years ago, mostly because she wasn’t dealing with a serious illness back then. We can be thrilled that she is recovering and returning to the stage, while still recognizing that the management of this comeback has been a total mess. Loving the artist doesn't mean we have to blindly accept terrible management.

First, they dropped a documentary to show her health struggles, did a couple of interviews, then complete radio silence for two years and they come back with a few rushed TikToks. Leaving worried fans completely in the dark only to suddenly pop out of her ivory tower just to sell tickets is a terrible look.

On top of that, the ticketing process is a disaster. Being pre-selected doesn't even guarantee a ticket, and people who already got codes the first time are receiving them again. It’s completely disorganized. Also, restricting everything to Paris forces non-European fans to make massive, expensive travel plans.
Just because her shows sell out instantly doesn't mean the fans should be treated as cash cows. If they had done a proper interview to update us on her health, people wouldn't be leaving comments doubting if she can even handle the tour. You can absolutely love Céline and still criticize how poorly her team is handling this.

What about 16 years in Vegas ? And nobody is actually forced to go to Paris. Everyone makes a decision regarding budget, availability.... I went to Vegas ONCE in 2003 and never had the money to go back and I was fine with it. I hope that she will announce shows in other countries, but c'mon, it's not because this one is not taking place in North America that it makes it harder for fans. She is a GLOBAL icon.

Fair enough, I actually agree with you on that specific point. Nobody is strictly forced to travel, and Paris makes sense for a restart. Sure, I would have loved for her to perform back home, but I can definitely understand and accept the choice of Paris.

That being said, the location isn't my main issue here. My point about the marketing and management still stands. The radio silence, the messy pre-selection process where people are getting duplicate codes while others get nothing, and the feeling that fans are just being treated as cash cows are what truly make this comeback frustrating.

I agree with that. I still don't get why they pushed for newsletter/team Celine subscriptions if there's no Team Celine presale afterwards. That would have been the least they could do.

Now the fan presale is only for the Red Heads...

Well there were a few other cities that wanted to host this. So they gave others a chance and opportunity and between those cities Paris was the best option.

Ticketing could have been handled better true, I think whatever they would have chosen, TC members only, tickets for Courage Tour first people still get upset. My guess is that they also didn't expect 9 million subscribers.

People seem to forget that Celine is about to release a FRENCH album. She will obviously tour as much as she can in Paris. And we can reasonably expect Quebec in 2027.

Yeah, because a global superstar making a highly anticipated comeback after 6 years and promoting it on major television networks was definitely expected to have low demand...

Saying they didn't expect 9 million registers is a bit of a joke. She's Céline Dion, not an indie artist. They knew the world would be watching, and they still failed to put a reliable, fair system in place for the fans. High demand shouldn't be an excuse for bad management when you're dealing with one of the biggest artists on earth.

European fans who were very excited on the thought of her doing a vegas residency (and were vocal about preferring it over other rumors) suddenly being very annoyed that she’s doing shows an hour flight away from them…

Almost like her doing shows in only one city is not the problem here.

I also think it’s possible that with the months of November- April open,  we could see another series in Canada or elsewhere in between Paris stops.
