Looks like the forum got quiet.. shocked that only 4 are pre recoded? Most of us were expecting to be like Mariah lipsyncing the whole show BUT Nope! She sang Live! I think she wants to show that she can still do it despite the illness. Proud to be a fan! Proud of Céline

 I think That's The Way It Is might be fully lipped too. I'll need to compare closer and maybe even to Fridays show but it sounded just about identical to me both nights so far.

Yeah! I think so too! I just finished watching the Medley and I think TTWII is pre recorded. I’ve noticed only the english ones are pre recorded

Just saw some clips from a friend who was in the audience. She was so much more "on" and "into" it being her goofy self. Also much more hyping up the crowd.

Did anybody notice the little trip slip in DAUM? The flared circus director-outfit needs to go!

I think she’s just feels comfortable with it and uses it as somewhat of a “break” during the years especially after belting so much. But yes it’s been given to us in every show 😂 

she was getting to lazy with the verses in recent years before she took the last 6 years off. But she’s refreshed now. I’d like to see the first verse come back now.

I don’t get why TTWII is lipped that’s not hard for her to sing when she’s singing other songs live much harder. Also if IACBTMN is lipped who approved it? That track isn’t that great, she could Sing it better live with her vocals from last night!

Also BYLM from the long sustain through the end except the last "because you loved me". So basically like 30 to 40 seconds of the song. A major improvement in that regard if you consider the full song except that last line had been lipped in 2015 through 2020. I'm so glad the second verse made a proper return and she sounds great on it! Now only if ANDHC had been added to the show with the second verse in the future...

The most important is majority of the show are live and not lipsycning the whole show.  I’m glad with it. When it comes in concert, she really do it more live

It’s No surprise that her English songs contain more of the acrobatics are usually more demanding. It’s probably another reason why she’s doing the Paris residency first and has a French album on the way first. Maybe she thought besides restarting back to her roots; that it would be an easier transition back to live performance.

The 2nd show sounded so much better! Beautiful tone and belts like in the good old days. 🥰 Great to see that most of the imperfect notes in the 1st show were probably 90% due to emotions and feeling the pressure to demonstrate / deliver, with the world's eyes on her. And she's so much more into the groove now! 💃

Also for me Je Chaterais, the Chase and the Opera aria are highlights. Love Ne Bouge Pas as well.

I don't know why I'm Alive sounded to me like having some false notes on both nights, not sure if that's correct or perhaps it was just messed up by the audience 'singers' around. 😅

Costume-wise, as much as I love the other 3 outfits, I don't know which Dansons dress is uglier - this one or the initial one. 🫠

Talking of Dansons, it's a pretty song but in the show it's too static and makes for a boring moment, together with Ziggy and Courage...Although I love Ziggy and how she's been signing it (so good!).  I know this section's meaning is about being reflective, but somehow it's all quite dark. I know this is controversial, but I got the same feeling on both nights watching live.

All in all, a great joy to watch so far and look forward to seeing her live this Saturday! 💫

-Did they find a way to get autographs? Did people receive the items they left at the Royal Monceau?

-Is there other boutiques in Paris with Celine Dion merch (except of Lafayette and plenitude). Do you know if stores E Leclerc and Auchan in Paris have Céline merch?

-How much time after the end of the show does Celine arrive at her hotel at night?

-Celine Dion magazines to get in Paris. There’s Diverto, Le miracle par le Parisien, la voix d’une légende, Harper bazaar. Which ones are worth it? Where can we find them?

It's kinda always been that way. Outside of Des mots qui sonnent and Je danse dans ma tete in the TCOML era, I think the only other French in-concert playback was Le ballet in 2017 for obvious reasons.

The English playbacks are typically the first English songs in line to be added for a French show. BYLM was not performed at French shows in 99, 08-09, or 2013, but the second it became a playback song it's been in every French show since. Edit: I guess it wasn't in the French courage shows.

More likely because she probably enjoys singing her French material a lot more than her ‘boring’ English mega hits. Some of the songs that she does live in French are harder to sing and with more ‘acrobatics’ than the lipped English songs, I’ve never understood the notion that her French material is less vocally demanding.

She probably gives herself breaks between live singing at certain intervals and would much rather it be an English songs that she doesn’t sing than a French one.

Tonight was... incredible. So I went with the intention of giving her as much energy as I could... There were honestly parts last Saturday where the audience was just a little too quiet; slight awkward bits in the transitions, and my whole goal was just to jump and scream my lungs out to let her know just how much we were there for her. I am in absolute awe, downright befuddlement, and bottomless admiration.

And then I gave her 🫶 after MHWGO and THEN SHE DID IT BACK TO ME. I can die now guys it's been fun. Seeya.

So that was you! I was in row 3 and saw her respond to you, and hoped she would see me too, but alas, no such luck! Hold that memory for ever!! She was so amazing tonight, I was grateful to see her be so much more comfortable than opening night!

What I hated most about the opening night dress was that with those square shoulders it looked a lot like that (Vauthier?) dress she wore on the first day of PFW in January 2019 - you know, one of the ones that was most often used to show how skinny she was.

By in large— her English songs are more vocally demanding. That’s not to say her French songs are easy or that every one of them is easier than her English hits. Her English hits are more demanding, while her French are more heartfelt, almost poetic.
