I was a senior in HS for her 2002 comeback and she came back with a new sound, a new look, and so much excitement built around her. This comeback will be wayyyyy bigger and more special than 2002

And I think now, so much more than even in 2002, Celine is respected and loved and ‘cool’ and people really do admire her for being such a genuine, talented performer and nice person

I discovered her in 2010 and was like 13, since then I am obsessed. Never got the chance to see her live, she never came to Brazil and I never could go abroad.
 

I mean… Now I can and it’s a goal of a lifetime to watch her sing in front of me. I’m so so so anxious.

I think now is probably the right time to mix things up.  The main point is that the music has to be amazing, and if it is, everything will be fine.

The idea of a mixed language album works well for the Anglo market because there is more of a natural curiosity for her French music. Having some tracks in English and some in French feels more authentic and compelling. But that also means it's not a full album in French, which could feel like a letdown for French fans. If she does something like this I'd prefer it to be a double album - same songs, maybe a few differences, but the same album released in two versions. In the streaming era, this is much easier to do than it was in the past when double albums were expensive to produce.

Not to sound ancient because I’m in my mid 30s but I don’t envy anyone born later on… the happiness I feel when i remember being a kid in the 90s and early 2000s, those were the days and now the world has gone mad.

probably why we all need some Celine in our lives…. I remember I played the FIY album on a disc man til it literally fell apart, or had so many scratches  that the 7 min IACBTMN opening was only 1 min 😂

I’m 44 and feel like a giddy kid .!  I remember it being 2002 and picking up a new day has come at Music World and then driving in the back seat of my car seeing a little girl in the back seat of her car beside me way younger probably like 10 ; flipping through the album booklet and I was so excited a youngen liked her and I was only in my early 20s.  LOL Now I’m impressed when 30 year olds like her

Honestly they could do 7 English and 7 French songs and everyone should be happy… then prepare a proper full length French album next again. At least I still listen to EUS album because it feels almost nostalgic already “Coruage” album and tour remind me of a deadly pandemic 😷 

and then a brutal diagnosis, ready for that era to be done! And I hardly listen to that album because of that.

I'm also part of the new wave of fans who discovered her in the early 2010s, around 2011/12. I couldn't attend her residencies or tours due to my young age, financial constraints, and other life obligations. I'm Brazilian and live in NY, so now that I'm nearing my 30s and have a bit more freedom, I'm ready to witness and be present for this comeback. 

I wonder if, after Paris, she'll still negotiate mini-concerts in the countries/cities she was already in talks with as a strategy to keep the momentum.  That is. If all is well, health and management-wise.

I remember going to either Sam the Record Man or HMV in the late 90’s/early 2000’s on release day to get the albums because no other day was acceptable.  The wait for ANDHC had felt like an eternity back then.  If we only realized how great we actually had it.

I would not be happy! It has been 10 years since EUS, I need a full length French studio album and I am not even feeling entitled expecting it! 😝

There's a program " Basique, l'essentiel de la Musique" airing on France 2 around the announced time. It's a very short show that usually airs snippets from concerts. So will we get to see a new single? Or a live feature even? Along with the concert announcement?

Even if that was the case, I would hold a small basket. 

Sadly, “Courage’s” life was cut short because of the pandemic. I feel in my gut that there was more planned for that album as far as promotion goes. “Love Again’s” PR was a hot mess. From the announcement, to the title changes, and then add the delays in filming because of Covid, and Celine filming separately. It never stood a chance, though I did enjoy the project for what it was at the time.

While vastly different due to the lack of social media, it was still an amazing time to be a fan.

 

She first emerged to present at The Grammys. She looked stunning. 

QueenCeline.com leaked “Prayer” just weeks before the album release.

CelineDion.com had previews of all tracks.

Amazon.com had previews of all tracks (different clips than what TC posted).

She was in every magazine.

Probably my favorite Oprah interview ever.

She was all over daytime and late night talk shows. 

She was a guest on multiple tv special concerts.

Her BEST CBS special EVER.

Her voice was breathtaking.

 

It really was an amazing time to be a fan, leading into Vegas.

Excuse me, but 'Courage' had disappeared from album charts before the pandemic. In the US especially it tanked in its second week and never came back.
