It’s always crazy to me that ANDHC isn't at the same level as I’m Alive… it’s still under appreciated. 

I’m Alive is a better song. And also more danceable. It’s a fun song with a good beat. Just look at the audience reactions whenever she performs it. ANDHC was never like that. I think it only benefitted from being the album’s title track, otherwise it’s mostly a bland song.

Well welcome back my friend, your ANDHC and that song has been in my opinion very slighted… even by Celine since 2007, it’s been largely ignored or when performed changed on arrangement so much and shortened to lose its spark. It’s time for the return of ANDHC and for it to shine in full… its a song that needs all its verses for effect cannot be shortened.  Now, after everything, how poignant are these words….

Wow, let’s agree to disagree… “I’m Alive” is a catchy song, “A New Day Has Come” is an anthem for me.

this! I was totally thinking this earlier as a perfect  opening but unlike in a new day, I’d want the radio version not the ballad one.

I’m agree about I’m Alive is a fun song but disagree about ANDHC being a bland song. And pretty unfair to compare the audience reactions to both songs as Celine mostly performed the ballad version in her concerts, of course the reactions won’t be the same as IA.

So did the promotion, sadly. She got sick with something early on when the album was released. Right when the tour started. All promo came to a screeching halt. I believe there were other interviews etc. scheduled. They never came back around to get that PR in, her concert schedule became busier and then the pandemic hit. There was no chance to get back on the promo train.

I never considered Céline's comebacks in 2002 and 2011 REAL comebacks, she took 2 planed short-time breaks,she told us she'd be back,we KNEW she'd be back.

This we have here now,is the first REAL comeback of Céline Dion and the biggest comeback in music industry the world has ever seen!

After a long-time effort, I finally turned my 16-year-old daughter into a Céline fan this year.She's been going through Céline's repertoire and looking for songs that she loves for the past 3 months. She's super excited about Céline's comeback and can't wait to listen to the new album.

I'm a very happy man right now knowing that I've successfully passed down Céline's music to the next generation. 😝

There are a few tweaks that should have been made to LMBTL, and it would have been perfect. I think "Overjoyed" should have been replaced with her studio version of "Open Arms." It sounded more contemporary and fit the sound of the album better. There was no need to add the other Vegas songs as bonus tracks. They should have been their own EP while we waited for her to complete LMBTL, honestly. "At Seventeen" is even fine in the track list, but could have been easily omitted and nobody would have missed it as part of the album. Though, I do love her vocals on it and I'm glad we have it. I think the album would have flowed so much better if the track list were as follows...

I know some people have issues with the way she used her vocals on this album, but I think most exaggerate what they think "granny voice" is, and it actually has more to do with the production, rather than her actual voice. 

 

Taking Chances, I revisit every once in awhile as an album...but there are a handful of songs that are in constant rotation in my iTunes. Miracle...I never listen to lol. But ISSW is often played as a standalone track. One Heart, is in my top 5 albums of Celine's. Start to finish, I never skip a song. Quality pop record, and it was so fresh for its time. Courage too. One of my favorites since FIY.

I like having album tracks that aren't necessarily made for radio. I wouldn't consider most of her work "filler." She has some great songs that despite not being singles, still deserve attention.

But the album only came with the ticket if you paid extra to bundle it. You had the option to not buy the album.

Like A New Day means a lot to me because it is about light coming after darkness, and Celine's music saved my life along with my awesome support system because back when I became a super fan, I was going through a dark time Depression, and when I first heard it I told myself light will pour in after darkness because their is always light at the end of the tunnel, and I remember listening to Celine Dion's duet with Charice Pompego while grinding on Roblox Space Tycoon during the dog days of summer while hunkered next to a fan because my house back then had poor AC and old windows, and that was two-years ago and since then my home's windows have gotten replaced and the AC is better, and summers have been much more comfy in my home and my favorite seasons are spring and summer. Also I am a summer baby September
