First of all, releasing a lyric video does not eliminate the possibility of a music video. Second, we should not underestimate the potential quality of a lyric video - for instance, the lyric video for "Trois Heures Vingt" was beautiful. And much better than some of Celine's music videos IMO. 😅

We do have to accept that whatever we get from Celine music-wise from now on, and for however long these past years, is not going to impact any chart- and who cares? Why always the need for more, more, more? She had the huge success, and everything she does still is successful, but relatively so. We'd all enjoy what she does now much more without the pressure or expectation.

 

It baffles me that people care about the number of streams or plays a song or video gets. Celine accrues 10 million views of a video released 4 or 5 years ago, the title track of her latest album, and artists like Taylor Swift get that overnight. But who cares?? Why let that diminish your love of Celine? And actual enjoyment of her.

 

There’s actually a whole psychology to fandom you should read into. Doesn’t matter if it’s sports, literature, movies, or music. We get a self-esteem boost when we see our favorite artist succeed — and the research shows that we actually get the SAME level of high that artist does when they learn their song is number one or they sold out a show. It’s perfectly healthy for fans on here to want to see Celine skyrocketing… I don’t think we should moderate that.

She’s going to have to address her health status sooner or later …it’s awkward I’ve got coworkers saying “I thought she as sick …”.

Quite the opposite for me when I talk to non-fan friends and family. They all think she has this degenerative neurological condition and will never sing again. It’s very sad and gets me every time.

I know same here, I was saying with the release of the single and the movie if people find out that Celine is back ( the average person) may not know how long ago she recorded the music and filmed the movie… they may believe she’s better and back to working.
