I hate this excuse, because TikTok’s are like 30 seconds long. You can choose any part of the song you want to use. To write and produce songs under 3 minutes, and then say it’s for TikTok is a lame excuse. I don’t buy it.

I really LOVE « I’ll Be ». Her vocals are amazing, though I regret the overuse of auto tune on some notes. I now really want to know when those songs were recorded. Hope the booklet of the physical CD gives us some info. I secretly picture Celine recording theses songs at home during the pandemic. Her voice reminds me of « The Prayer » performance during lockdown.

I agree but it’s a reality for streaming. Long songs don’t get as many streams as short ones. Same with radio airplay in the 2000s. People’s attention has lowered so much. It’s so sad…

Jessie Ware’s new album is full of actual full length songs. The shortest one is 3:10, the longest is 5:24. And people are eating it up. It’s so freakin good.

Yeah love “I’ll Be.” I really do. As someone mentioned it’s one of the first up tempo songs since “I’m Alive” to instantly grab me, and again I find myself humming it again and again, a good sign. Of course it deserves airplay and wider recognition but I’ve reeled in my expectations these days when it comes to that. Really really like this one though.

It's a lovely uptempo song without them trying to hard to sound like a current modern song.

And I'm in love with her vocals, it's been a while since she sounded like old celine.

Walking to work with I’ll Be up loud and find myself getting emotional all of a sudden. It’s as if she’s taking to the fans during her absence, but letting us know she’s always there through her music!!!

Something ehm, interesting... I've listened to ''I'll Be'' just about 10 times and I love it BUT... now that I'm chilling with no music on, all I hear in my head is ''cause baby you're a firework!''

Oh its leaps and bounds better than anything on courage - in my opinion. For me its her vocals. Reminds me of the old Celine !

Way way better than “Love Again”, lacking a bridge and climax but still a nice song, love her vocals. Unfortunately not listed in the Spotify new music Friday playlist (not in Sweden anyway) so unless picked up by radio it’ll probably stay as a fan song.

 

I don’t get their strategy with releasing Love Again as the lead, not that the song is bad but the result of the vocals and that it’s going nowhere is just beyond me. Bad promotion. Lost opportunity.

I finally listened to “I’ll Be” and all I can say is WOW….. this is easily her best song in decades. Nothing on “Courage”, or “LMBTL” or “TC” albums comes close in my opinion.

 

It’s almost like a “Reveal” meets 2023 modern gem. It’s hard to describe! We all know that celine usually goes on trend after it’s already outta style when it comes to her music for the last few albums this may be her most on time song….

Its 2023 banger meets perfect vocals!

 

I wish the entire courage album was like that… imagine if this was a Courage left over… I really believe it’s not, even I give Sony more credit because this is better than anything on that album.

The first chorus of I’ll Be is like we are hearing the 2nd chorus. Like immediately the high soaring notes. No softer vocals first for the 1st chorus. i think it would be great if your building up your full vocals for the 2nd chorus. Just my opinion. Edited May 5, 2023 at 07:25 AM by jpatdeleon09

Funny to see that everyone claims that this is the old good Celine while the critic here says that on almost all songs (except waiting on you) we cannot recognize her, her voice being so altered meaning so auto tuned and over produced, certainly because she cannot sing the way she used to due to her disease so va she needs now to rely on technology.

Critics don't understand that these were not recorded during her disease. I mean it's obvious.

Neverrr this was courage era already your hear the thinness of her high noted and her mixing is more head than chest in that era you mentioned she was using far more chest mix
