It's so interesting that her dancing and the Katy Perry show didn't catch any attention from the media at all. And now everybody believes this Claudette stuff...

 

You know what? I thought of the same thing. I’m wondering if media are lacking content because it’s Christmas time so they had this news to run. Also bad news always sells more than good news.

There’s ways for Celine to remain a beloved public figure without performing. Julie Andrews is the best example I can think of… after that surgery on her vocal cords ruined her voice.

 

If she’s able to manage her symptoms, maybe she can still make appearances, do fashion, act, release a book, and hopefully still record new music in a controlled environment in a studio.

 

Julie Andrews had one of the best voices of all time and she was forced to pivot. Hopefully Celine can do the same, if she’s able and wants to.

 

With that said, I of course hope she can perform again someday.

she's been dealing with loud environment since she was a child, could this be triggering?

of course the passing on Rene and his illness before and Celine's difficulty to have a baby that could have been the greatest stress?...

also the last phrase says it can take a long time to feel the relief, could mean that we will have to wait for a few years to see her on stage?

Thanks! I am curious what awaits us...a message? silence? I was really surprised last year when we got the video message, and she seemed upbeat in it. I think she really loves the holidays.

 

Logically, I think it's likely we get a video message because of how her recent Vegas appearance showed a glimmer of hope. But for some reason my gut tells me we won't get that...

It’s such a roller coaster being a Céline fan these days. We go from the lows of the complete silence to the highs of seeing her out and about. Since then we’ve had the worrying headlines (I know they were translation issues) but you do still wonder and now the potential high of a Christmas message (if it comes). If that doesn’t come you can’t help but wonder how she is doing since we saw her.
