Boycott the album. A woman who has given us 40 years. Who is battling a terrible disease ??? No. Shameful behaviour. What are you expecting a new album in between the fight of her life ? I’m totally shocked.

 

I love Celine, I wish her the best always, AND I’m boycotting the album. If I stream any of the old songs it’ll be from their original respected albums only. Celine won’t lose sleep, she doesn’t live paycheck to paycheck and she’ll be just fine. But her idiotic team and label need to learn a lesson. And I plan to do my part… still excited and looking forward to the documentary itself but the album with giving us can and should FLOP. I’d be happier if it flopped than if it went #1. I know it sounds harsh but I don’t care.

Well live performance at this rate seems like a far off pipe dream… so they outta have a little respect for legacy and the fans who put her where she is today. The fans feel used and abused, if it’s not a live show or her gift shop leftovers they don’t make any effort.

 

The last purchases her leach of team got out of me was the CWT ticket and Courage album I bought and a movie ticket for love again . And I’m proud of that, I work too hard for my money to buy the same crap over and over again.

While I appreciate Team Celine getting rightfully eviscerated in the IG comments, I worry the only people seeing these are us and some 20-year-old social comms intern at Sony (who wasn’t even alive when these songs were released) or whatever third party they outsource social to.

Where this outrage needs to be aimed it is the A&R team at Legacy Recordings, who keep pushing this pointless stuff 20 times over.

I think a 20 year old intern would help our cause. I fear the intern is a 74 year old who knows Celine as the “titanic lady”….

 

At this rate, I’d love to volunteer to run her socials, I couldn’t do worse. Celine would be annoyed by me and my constant ask for material to post, whether it’s statements from Celine or personal moments to share. I don’t think Celine is against it, I just think she doesn’t want to be the person whom does it and the person in charge would just need to ask Celine for stuff to post she she wouldn’t hesitate to give the material.

For sure there are live bits that will be shown in the documentary. Not all songs that are shown in the docu are included in the released cd soundtrack. I remember “Unfinished Songs” OST. The song itself is not included in the released cd soundtrack

 

Let’s just wait for the documentary.

Well, I totally agree with all of you!

Allow me to add a few additional thoughts.

 

* After the revelation of the "soundtrack", I lost my hope for the documentary as well. I'm afraid we're going to see a repetition of everything. (as we did with the Vogue video that repeated all the known stories!)

 

* I wonder why such a short documentary (100 minutes). All the streaming platforms create series for artists, athletes etc (like Robbie Williams, Michael Jordan etc) why not for Celine too. Her career is more than 40 years long.

 

* Not the final album cover? Really?? What is her team doing lately while she is absent? Couldn't they at least announce the "soundtrack" with the complete artwork?

 

* No comment on the super Photoshopped, uninspired poster! Once again, fans created much better artworks!

 

* To be honest, even with 1-2 unreleased / songs I would not be ok. It would be like a "more money" move by Sony. "Lets put a new song on the old hit list for better sales!"

 

* And I think I'll repeat myself, I don't want them to re-edit her songs! They edit her voice so much that it is not Celine in the end! (I remind you the La memoire d'Abraham that they took parts of one of her best vocal area and they destroyed it!)

 

* The same with live material. Watch the tribute My heart will go on live video. Are you happy with the way they reworked her vocals? The same with all her last live CD-DVDs.

 

* Of course, I'm going to boycott the "soundtrack" as well, as I have, to be honest, with most of her recent releases. I cannot listen to her voice compressed the way they do. It makes me sad and I do not care for that kind of sound of her voice.

 

* This is also a reason for the fans to react as strongly as we are now for this album. What is the point of new releases with this overproduction?

 

* Albums are not profitable the last years. So I think that is the reason why they are not paying attention to albums anymore. Even Celine herself. Thats why her recordings have declined in quality, she does it fast track without so much thought and inspiration and she gives all her energy to live performance which brings the money!

Yeah it’s starting to feel like this doc might get about as much promo as Love Again or Courage, which is to say next to none.

The pathetic soundtrack release, no mention in the supposed “big comeback” Vogue interview, nary a peep at Amazon’s first ever upfronts… early signs are not promising.
