But most likely vegas since the contract is still running at resorts world She did answer “you heard right” when that interviewer asked her about the Vegas rumors at the premiere. Also, Hoda told us to get ready to go to Vegas. I would say the fact that it will be Vegas is pretty much as confirmed as the possibility of a new show itself at this point. 2 Quote The best is yet to come...
Céline RO Posted July 1, 2024 at 12:12 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 12:12 PM Yeah, maybe they are not there yet, just at putting ideas together, choosing songs etc at her home or in a studioYeah I know but I was just referencing that particular quote because it sounded like a "now" more so than "in some distant future TBD". Well it was back in May that she said those things so we know they were already “putting the show together” more than a month ago. I suppose it depends on how long that would take before rehearsals can get underway. Also, there was that info (might have been John Kats) that Céline was hoping for a return this year… Quote The best is yet to come...
Nmj Posted July 1, 2024 at 01:29 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 01:29 PM (edited) Yeah I know but I was just referencing that particular quote because it sounded like a “now” more so than “in some distant future TBD”. If I had to guess, I would assume they are working with resorts world to fully pick the The dates that they think is possible. I bet she’s also in the process of maybe even working with her conductor Scott in terms of talking about the set list and some of the visuals involved. I’m really interested in seeing how they go about putting this new show together, especially now that she may have triggers of light and sound. I wonder how they navigate a show in Vegas without making it too much. I’m sure she’s still working with her vocal coach. When Hoda asked the question if her voice is fully back, I don’t know why when she said “not fully back”, but she seemed like she had to think about that answer, I think she seems confident in her voice right now. She probably hasn’t felt confident in it in years… My prediction is she is probably a better state now than she was in at least the last six or seven years vocally. mirage Posted July 1, 2024 at 02:58 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 02:58 PM Celine’s instagram up by over 200K followers since the documentary.. doing numbers.Unfortunately only to find out it's the most boring artists instagram evah. You would think there would be at least 1 smart person working there who thinks, okay let's take this moment. People go to Amazon to watch celine, let's put out some shows for them to stream.Maybe some vinyl releases for the crazy fans with some little extra's. Isn't this someone's job? CelinesDIVO5 Posted July 1, 2024 at 04:53 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 04:53 PM lolll ^ It also makes me laugh to think of that wistful reflection she shared (in the Oprah tour iirc?) that she often talked with her mother about how to keep RC grounded despite all the lavish things provided to him, and it's not like she can make him sleep in the drawer or wear tatty clothes like she/her siblings did... fast-forward to her big-bodied teens being waited on hand and foot by a butler with milkshakes lolll I have a feeling he wouldn't have as per habit lol and Céline knew and would have been mortified to have that on record like any mom would have been lolll I also think that's a cute mama bear moment, not a serious bad look on the Nelson/kids, kids being 12yo kids. Now if she did that to RC... ohno... lmao Well, being double-jointed helps lol but yeah, she's always been athletically impressive, and, most of all, the ENERGY. Wow. I think she meant keeping RC grounded more so as an empathic, sympathetic, aware human being. She’s never shied away from acknowledging that she has these luxuries (such as a butler), but she never wanted to allow the privileges her family has to stifle her kids from being humble, kind hearted people. You can be rich, and still in touch with reality. 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
CelinesDIVO5 Posted July 1, 2024 at 04:55 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 04:55 PM Here's something I'm still struggling to understand: how was she able to perform at such a high level, up to spring 2020, if she was just masking symptoms with high doses of Valium & other (presumably inappropriate for the condition) meds? Physically, how was she able to put on such energetic shows? Even if they temporarily relieved her spasms and pain, wouldn't those dosages drain her and knock her out? And if she was able to do it then, with all those wrong meds in her system, wouldn't she be in better position to do it now that she's under a correct treatment plan for her illness? That, plus how is she able to handle crowds, lights, sounds? Judging by commentary from other SPS patients, this is what they're most perplexed by, because most are triggered by these things and could never go to a concert or sporting event. So it seems they're all wondering what it is she's doing. I have a feeling she’s doing some type of sensory therapy too. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
LukeD Posted July 1, 2024 at 06:26 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 06:26 PM (edited) My mother was in tears today because she saw the seizure scene. She said nobody should suffer this much, and that she wanted to give Celine a hug. Pretty much how all of us feel. I am trying to think positively about this. That the worst is behind and that better days are coming. Maybe it is a defense mechanism, but it is also a wish. Edited July 1, 2024 at 06:26 PM by LukeD 4 Quote
Jeanette Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:10 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:10 PM My prediction is she is probably a better state now than she was in at least the last six or seven years vocally. I think her voice was pretty damn close to the old Celine in the 2017 tour and she sang more songs fully live than she had in a long time (even if she did her “cheating” as she calls it during the climax of MHWGO) so I for one would be extremely happy if she was able to get anywhere near as close to those vocals again. 4 Quote
fikus1 Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:21 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:21 PM In the documentary, Celine said that there was a situation during show where she would go for a quick change and never come back. Do you guys know anything about it? When did something like that happen? If it's been talked about before, I'm sorry for asking again Quote
Jeanette Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:24 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:24 PM I’m quite flabbergasted that there’s been so little support from celebrities for Celine in the wake of her documentary release. Quite a few were all singing her praises and declaring their love for her and how’s she such an inspiration to them when the trailer dropped but now, total radio silence. Just find that odd 🤔 4 Quote

Quite a few were all singing her praises and declaring their love for her and how’s she such an inspiration to them when the trailer dropped but now, total radio silence. Just find that odd 🤔 I agree but… Who cares. Celine has always said she was scared of the industry and didn’t “hang”… always “went home”, this film was for her fans. And Celine was and always will be sort of an “outsider” of the industry… probably why we don’t see as many collaborations and duets and we would have wanted, and I’m okay with that, seems like a very unhealthy environment. 2 Quote
DaddysGirl21A Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:38 PM Posted July 1, 2024 at 10:38 PM One thing that is stuck in my mind since I watched the doc is how lonely or isolated Celine looks. We have some footage with her kids but there's no family or friends around, even on the most suffering times. It's always only her staff. This is so weird to me. But then again, I'm Latin and we are known for having a closer relationship with relatives. Maybe it's just a cultural thing. So, I want to ask you all: any of you also got that impression? You have to remember it was during COVID, and most of her family is also older. If she was having issues and they were not sure what it was, they may have stayed away because they didn't want to get her sick and run her body down more and make things worse for her. what is also possible with her siblings being older is that maybe they just didn't go out themselves during that time. I'm trying to google how they calculate the viewership numbers and it seems they only apply their model in the US. I mean 828k viewers worldwide -even for 3 days- is very low considering this is the no 1 Amazon Prime movie in the world. Also, based on your first link and if I understood correctly, this seems to be an estimate rather than an actual number "The data will be fueled by Luminate’s new Streaming Viewership (M) product that tracks viewing across a 2.5 million smart TV panel, along with proprietary and public title engagement signals.". I feel like people who know her and have the contact would have reached out privately. But also, they have busy lives and don’t drop everything to watch a buzzy piece of new content the day it drops (unlike us when it comes to anything Celine). Plus it’s been in so many places on social media… just this one clip from CBC for instance has comments from Cyndi Lauper and Paris Hilton, among others. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8J4zvQRncP/?igsh=dDc5NW1wZm5vMm9j And by the way the CBC interview is now almost at a million views on YT.
