Imagine these dissappear again at some storage unit. And someone not bothered throwing them away!

Not me, but I'm sure one could hire a tech with the equipment to make the transfer. Moog music is based here in Asheville, so I'm sure there are plenty of people over there that could help. *give me the tapes!*

In general it's not understandable why something recorded won't be released. No one would be harmed by it by any means... when there's a marketing plan and the song isn't part of the project just release it and don't use it in the marketing projects, but it's atleast outthere for people to enjoy, or release it later in the day somewhere, somehow when the promotion/marketing is over and one is between two projects Edited April 8, 2022 at 03:43 PM by ordinary fan

exactly! Otherwise the song ends up in a vault forever, which makes no sense

I have been trying to complete my Celine collection by gathering up all of her rarest songs. I think I'm nearly complete but there's one song I've really been struggling with finding. That song being "somos novios (It's Impossible)". The best I could gather was a mp3 rip off YouTube but it sounds terrible. If anybody could hook me up with a decent quality mp3 I'd be so grateful.

 

It might be a longshot as well, but if anybody has decent quality versions of the Phil Spector songs, I'd really love those. Again, all I have are super low quality YouTube rips.

Dont agree as an artist your expected some kind of quality.. and if the songs are not up to standrd i understand why they dont release it.. maybe when she is older they will do unreleased album or something

I think Celine's included parts are from 3:26 - 3:33 and 3:44 - 3:50, and maybe that "yeah, yeah" at 3:05

Man, gotta admit that Tonight I'll See The Morning With Him instantly becomes my new fave. And an interesting story I saw from the comment section:

One of three (unfinished) tracks produced by Phil Spector in 1995. Phil was fired from the project which would become ‘’Falling Into You’’. His three tracks were cut and remain incomplete. Still incredible, and a serious loss.

Probably a lot more. Phil was a perfectionist, and if you know Be My Baby, he did about 45 takes of the backing track before it was good enough for him. And it was good by take 20, but he pushed his musicians until it was absolutely flawless. Ronnie Spector said one of the musicians fingers were bleeding after playing open chords for hours and also proving hand claps. It was worth it in the end.[/color][/color]

I fear that whoever is buying these unreleased master tapes are just rich people buying these for their collection and aren't even Celine fans and have no interest in sharing.

 

Even if Sony wanted to officially release the Phil Spector songs, could they without the master tapes? Do they have their own copies or did Spector have the only copies?

 

With the possibility that Celine's recording days could be coming to an end, any recording of her singing is extremely valuable to the fans who can't imagine life without her voice.
