"Love Again" movie - Official Topic

We knew it before, didn't we? It is an American version of an already existing German movies, and there is a role of a famous singer. So, it was obvious Celine was gonna play herself.

 

I personally don't mind. I can only see Celine playing a good & serious role in a French movie, not American one. But I don't speak French, so I am not sure whether I'd care that much about it.

 

No I didn't look for details about this movie, until few days ago. I believe in her acting abilites and it will come out and shine the day she will get a well thought part in a movie.

It's just all so strange to me. Not even an acknowledgement that she's in a movie. If I lived under a rock I wouldn't know, lol!

 

I was hoping she'd get to play a character but I'll take whatever is coming my way.

 

honestly, i hate to have to think this, but i fear that this movie "role" will just be a BRIEF CAMEO appearance just like she did in "muppets most wanted" a few years back!! remember that movie?? celine was ONLY in that movie for maybe 10 seconds @ the most, & @ almost the very end of the movie (to sing part of a song with the muppets!!)

 

& i remember during the promotion & advertising of "muppets most wanted", celines name was HYPED UP & they kept mentioning her (& lady gaga as well,) in order to get people to go see the movie... & it worked... BUT to me it was a TOTAL RIP-OFF as celine was on it SOOO BRIEFLY & heck she did not even have a few lines!! (@ least in lady gagas cameo appearence, she had a few lines, whereas poor celine had no lines!!)

 

now i am not saying that this movie appearance is definetely like the muppets one, but i am just reminding everybody how her appearance in the muppets movie was HYPED UP just like this movie, but turned out to be a disappointment... so we should be prepared for a "muppets 2.0" appearance, especially since her team has NOT even talked about it yet (although they did talk about the "muppets" appearance alot back then i remember, there were a few "behind the scenes" pictures on all of her social media & everything during her filming of "muppets"!!) 🤔👀

Probably while we complained about Celine’s disappearance from social media in the past few months, she was working on this film and maybe new songs for the soundtrack.

 

I hope "Play Me Like a Love Song" is not forgotten in the Sony Music archives...

I agree with you. I also believe that Celine has not yet participated in the shooting. Because she wasn't in any of the photos that the cast and crew put up. Given that filming is also scheduled to take place in the US, I think the scenes with Celine will be the final ones.

They started filming late November or early December without Celine.

 

That means there was 8-9 months of silence from Celine before filming even started. During which time she could’ve easily done more than The Prayer and Gloria’s brief show.

I guess she will have 2-3 scenes , at least

- Advising the main characters about love matters

- singing a song

 

Of Course her Name and her music will be framing the whole movie since on of the main character is surely a huge fan. So Celine will be present during the whole film in one way or another.

 

A new song for the soundtrack would be nice.

 

That would be enough for me to be happy.

She can promote a few weeks before the movie comes out. More than enough otherwise people forget anyway.

Yes and therefore we mustn’t get downhearted or disappointed when the movie’s released as its not Celine or her team that’s been over-exaggerating her part in this movie, it’s the media and her so called fellow cast members who have suggested she is one of the main cast members and we all know for sure this will be another cameo a la Muppets Most Wanted.

Precisely. The film is certainly not worthy of an Oscar and Celine's participation should be brief but certainly relevant in the context of the story. I hope that new songs are confirmed and if it is Play Me Like a Love Song it will be the BEST news of recent times. This song can create an impact if promoted.

Well, if Celine makes an acting debut, I wish it would be in something more serious and relevant than this. But anyway, I take whatever I get at this point.
