1. They do say “we’re the only ones who have floated that rumor”.

 

2. Just because the resort opens in summer 2021 (and even that isn’t certain) doesn’t necessarily mean that Céline would start straight away. She could begin there in 2022 or, more likely, 2023. It doesn’t even say that the theatre will also be ready by 2021.

It’s simple, really. The more concerts she books in a year, the less time she has to ruminate about anything else. AND probably wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t spend 2 years relaxing and dreaming up her next career move.

I know the reason it’s not good but she was forced to take some time off, and we don’t know when she’s gonna go back on stage again. So we supposed she’s really taking time for her now, coz the break she had between the end of 2019 vegas and the tour she did lots of things for the tour..

She at least is having fun and feels energized with the tour. With Vegas I always felt it was like pulling teeth to get a reaction out of the audience.

Seems strange even for a guard to know that, let alone tell it to a fan.

Actually it wouldn't be strange because if they are trying to get trustworthy people to join her security ranks for the long-term they most likely let them know the job will involve a lot of travel for the next year or so during the world tour but will result in much more stability when she returns to Las Vegas. Just try to grasp that for a second before saying it's strange. And it's not strange for security to talk to fans if you're respectful and following their directions. All you have to do is ask kindly. There's no harm in letting a fan know she's going back to Vegas, which leads us to creating hype within our circle here. Our business makes sure they still have jobs.

 

I really do miss the skeptics on this forum and it's actually why I've shied away from sharing anything about it in the first place, but there were several other fans there who could corroborate, so whatever. Make of it what you will.

sorry to open back up a thread from months ago, but about this new las vegas residency "rumor" thing... honestly i have NOT heard or read ONE single thing about this besides on this forum... there hasnt been any other mentions of this online anywhere (that i have seen or heard of anyway)...

 

so i am just curious - where in the heck did this "rumor" come from?? ok yes we all know another residency would be in celines future... but i mean in the "future", i mean a few YEARS down the road! especially not after a world tour!!

 

& of course with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic postponing concerts @ the moment, even if the tour WAS going to end in 2021, well we all know it is NOT going to now... we are looking @ sometime in 2022 (pending if there are no cancellations of any shows 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏) for the ending of the tour... so seriously, its VERY doubtful of a residency starting next year!

 

in fact i dont see celine starting a new residency until around 2023-2024 (because maybe after this current tour, celine might still take a year break, work on the next french album (which we know is OVERDUE since "encore un soir" is almost 4 years old & in 2022 it will be 6 years old! & we all know that is the current amount of years gap with her ENGLISH albums since "taking chances" back in 2007 lol!) 👀🙊😂 or she might just take a small regular break like she did in 2009-2010 after the "taking chances world tour", & that was over a DECADE ago! but sorry i just DONT see a residency right after a tour, especially @ this point in celines life & she is 52 years old, she is not in her 30s/40s anymore folks, we gotta keep that in mind... 👍

I too think any potential residency won’t begin until 2023 but I don’t think Céline will take another break. She seems to energized to stop. Let’s not forget that by March when the tour restarts she will have had her 1 year break already. She also had another one just 5 years ago. I don’t think she wants/needs any more breaks.

Exactly. I myself am tired of Vegas and I’m not the one who performed over 1100 shows. I’d honestly prefer if she went back to her 90s album-tour routine. In Vegas she seems more bored, her voice is worse, the show is shorter, etc.

I, too, hope Vegas is done. She's done two ground-breaking show there. The coronavirus has pushed her tour back to 2021 and it may possibly go into 2022. (We don't even really know for sure that she can start up again in March 2021 - everyone right now is just hoping for the best. The winter could be a disaster - it's still so far away.) So if CWT keeps getting pushed back, she may as well just take a break for a bit, record a new English album and then do another world tour (which even though it'll be named after the new album will still essentially be a greatest hits tour - all of her tours from here on out will be that, I fear.)
