I know people joke about Claudette around here but is she reliable?

 

I doubt rehearsals are happening with the next planned show not until Feb. If it’s true maybe she’s trying to readjust to singing again.

If Céline was deadly ill, I do think Marc and Claudette would know. They wouldn't necessarily tell us, but I think they wouldn't actively lie about (they could easily just avoid the question, especially Marc).

I actually believe Claudette, I think she probably doesn’t know directly from Celine but I’m sure Celine tells Michel and Linda and they probably tell others ie claudette etc.

I actually believe Claudette too. And I think the theatre is dark with no shows in most of November BECAUSE Celine is / will be rehearsing. Makes total sense.

I'm on Team Claudette on this one. First, I need some hope in my life that the wheels of the Celine train are about to get rolling. Second, she has no reason to lie. I truly believe that next year, whether it's Vegas or the European leg of the Courage tour (maybe both?!), Celine will be back on stage. If it's true that rehearsals have been going on (I'm not seeing anything on Instagram or Twitter, but they may have all been told to be silent about rehearsals) we may be getting some news sooner rather than later. Here's hoping we're not far off from getting the good news we've been waiting for.

Meh, not really breaking, especially if you look at the French original posted earlier in the Random thread. Certainly sounds like Claudette is merely repeating what we already know or what she had previously said. It sure doesn’t sound like she has any special intel (and at this point I’m fairly sure Céline wouldn’t tell her any important career-related news, knowing she would blab to Québécois tabloids! 😅)

Oh I’m sure she does. I just think it’s personal not professional, that she doesn’t divulge any material details of her professional plans. Because we all know, as someone said, “Claudette is going to Claudette”, and Céline knows that.

(I mean, she published an entire autobiography titled “La soeur de…” Her entire public persona is riding on Céline’s coattails.)

Zero from the backup singers- not too sure about band members though.

The band members seem to all be doing their own thing, too. Philippine touring his new album into Nov (a handful of shows, but still).

 

But of course they rehearsed heavily at this time last year, and could have been catching up virtually since (if there’s one thing Covid taught us, it’s that a lot can be accomplished from our living rooms!)

 

I think given the postponements and cancellations, at this point Céline probably doesn’t want to release news committing to any new dates until absolutely certain.

Yeah i think so too.. claudette doesnt know anything... the way she is talking and saying if there would be something bad we would know.. means she knows nothing otherwise she would say i spoke to celine and she ia much better and starting to rehearse again... plus it miat be pretty difficult treatments she must be having as celine mentioned doctors are still figuring out.. so the massages and stuff seem like doing her ilness a bit unjustice i feel... otherhand if she has not heaed that something is seriously wrong that is a bit comforting.. the rest i take with very lightly

I find it hard to believe that Claudette or any of the other brothers and sisters don't know how Celine is doing. Are they mad at each other or anything? There is no reason to believe they don't check on her every now and then, but they know they can't share anything with the press. With Vegas not happening in December, most likely nothing until the movie premier in February, let's be patient...

Ok Claudette may not be super close or be on the phone to Celine daily but if she has heard she is doing well and that a rehearsal has happened, I find it hard to believe that isn’t the case. I don’t speak to some of my siblings daily but when I do talk to one of them they can easily say something vague about what/how the others are doing.

 

I think someone close to both Claudette and Celine has told her that Celine is doing well and perhaps mentioned she has been singing again and she sounds good.

Everything she’s saying here is the same stuff she said at this time last year, almost to the day. Showbiz.net (whoever they are) may just as well have republished the quotes from last Oct. It all made the rounds in French press at the time, and eventually that Claudette interview was even picked up by Good Morning America. So it may have been “breaking news” then, it really isn’t now.

Somebody commented "rip" on the Facebook post from Celine's team today. It was just them posting the audio of "A New Day Has Come." I guess some people are under the assumption that Celine is dead.
