I can’t help but think Celine doesn’t want to debut her new show the same time Adele launches her first residency. Let’s face it all eyes will be on Adele and if Celine came back in November comparisons on who is better etc…I just know that’s a factor. My gut is telling me Celine re-emerges in January when Adele is on break. But for the love of god it’s almost November — throw us some type of bone 😳

lol Look I'm on your side! I just know the industry's eyes are on Adele and this Caesar's launch next month. It's all the media will be focusing on. They can't, Adele is nowhere near the vocal beast that Celine (and Barbra before her) are.

Adele could never compete with Celine, Barbra, Whitney, etc vocally. But she’s got her own unique offerings.

 

I agree that Adele will be the talk of the town for a while, as Lady Gaga was. I think it’s best for her Vegas show to have its moment this year & then once the sparkle wears off a bit, then Celine can announce her return to Vegas.

 

I do think if Celine announced her return in the midst of Adele’s debut, it would get lost a bit. Even with Celine being the Queen of Vegas.

 

I think / hope the media has progressed past the old-school method of pitting women against each other. Adele & Celine love each other and respect each other. They bring different things to the table.

I wasn't really worried up until this point, but I have to say to being October 19th today and virtually no hint of anything on the horizon I don't see anything coming this year by means of news. At this point I'm a bit sick to the stomach that it's over for Celine for a while.... (well kinda has been). If 2022 comes to a close with no news I fear the Tour will be cancelled once and for all. I feel the same unfortunately... I don't even need an official announcement...just a low-key return to social media for the twins birthday or Halloween would do just fine to reassure me...even if she's not 100% better, surely there's no harm in that? Well, I had tickets to Opening Night Nov, That I still ended up going anyway just to check this new place out ,, but I was not even ready to be open in the first place .. I was kinda of strange not seeing everyone there for Opening night/ like other fan groups Media ex , But I did run into a few old friend's, Parts of her band where still there rehearsing in a tent, it was just nice to get away for awhile, everyone was still in mask and I really couldn't tell who who was, There was NO Merch in the store,

The hype for her return to Vegas will be big when she does return. That much is guaranteed imo. By the time she returns to Vegas it'll have been at least 3 years since her last US performance.

I heard Adele will make the most per-show total of any singer in Vegas history at 2m a show or something like that. Not sure if that was a true claim though.

I don't think Celine is intimidated by anyone or worried about getting less attention. She doesn't have anything to prove (and she behaves that way). Especially not in her 50s.

 

I think her biggest worry would be about making a comeback without full health, or after not having performed in years. Especially if her show was rushed and not prepared.
