thatstheteacherinmehbaby Posted September 28, 2022 at 04:17 AM Posted September 28, 2022 at 04:17 AM Luke Bryan just announced shows Feb 1-11 and Mar 22-Apr 1. Seems likely that Katy Perry will fill Dec 28-Jan 14 and Carrie Underwood Jan 18-28. I'd now bet on Celine opening in late April/early May. But how do you know that FOR SURE? Again there has been NO INKLING on when or EVEN IF she will be back to performing... Hopefully soon we are all hoping of course, but sadly Celine & her team have been VERY SILENT all these months & who knows if Celine is even healthy enough to come back yet, there has been no peep from her end to even indicate how she is doing at this point, so as always we are in the dark... thatstheteacherinmehbaby Posted September 28, 2022 at 04:25 AM Posted September 28, 2022 at 04:25 AM If that happens, it will have been a 3 year hiatus. Yea sadly it has been ALMOST 3 YEARS since we have seen Celine or have heard her beautiful voice live (& I mean not on her already-recorded & already-released songs & albums!) Because remember the Covid pandemic started in early 2020, & now we are about to enter October 2022! So this year is ALMOST OVER, & still we hear NOTHING BUT RADIO SILENCE from Team Celine, & to me as a fan it is very concerning! As everybody else does Im sure, I do hope that Celine health has gotten better, but unfortunately with the NEVER-ENDING SILENCE from her & her team for all these months, things just do not look so good, there has been NO SIGNS FROM HER that anything is on the mends at this point, so it really does not look too optimistic right now! I think the longer she is away from Vegas performing, the more impactful her return will be and will be a fresh start again. Danystar Posted September 28, 2022 at 07:59 AM Posted September 28, 2022 at 07:59 AM I think it's worth announcing the beginning of Vegas after the tour resumes in February, when Celine is guaranteed to be healthy and back. it doesn't make sense before - another cancellation, another disappointment... hope for the best and wish Celine a speedy recovery🤗 4 Quote
garyhollander Posted September 28, 2022 at 08:21 AM Posted September 28, 2022 at 08:21 AM I was comparing their attitudes to their music and drive to shout about it , which has nothing to do with live performance. Anyone with two eyes can see that how they perform on stage is worlds apart- theres no-one better than Celine. But thats irrelevant to the original point being discussed that Mariah is passionate about celebrating her own music where Celine doesnt seem bothered. So actually, youre using that side of Mariah to bash her ♂️Well ehen your dealing with maybe a treathning desease or illness, who the f would care about an anniversary of an album.. there is a difference because mariah always loved to get the attention.. thats why she is constantly posting and feels like she needs the accolades and stuff.. celine never was that kinda person.. never was active on twitter nor instagram.. she never belonged to the industry she always loved quite time with family at home .. you guys do as if ghis is new they are just two different people.. so stop comparing mariah has a better team working for her thats clear Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk Quote

Maybe this effected her voice also.. you sing from the diaphram this is a muscle if she has muscle spasims this can effect her singing too who knows .. i know everybody is eager.. i guess we jist have to wait.. and hope celine chooses a better team next time to work for her Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk Quote

hugo020 Posted September 28, 2022 at 03:05 PM Posted September 28, 2022 at 03:05 PM Not to be a downer, but I think she’ll be back in Vegas at the earliest in Nov 2023. She ll finish the tour, rehearse and then show starts. 2 Quote

Get the disastrous tour over with first and get her warmed up and effervescent again for Resorts World. She lives in Vegas, so of course she'll be flying back between legs. I should have specified that late April now appears to be the *earliest* she will likely start Vegas. However, I assume that RW and AEG want her to start ASAP. Keep in mind that the May-September 2022 European tour dates were announced Feb 17, 2021, and the initial Vegas shows were announced May 12, 2021, so from the start (before her medical issues) they were anticipating her starting Vegas before the tour ended. I agree that it would be more appropriate to start the residency after the tour, like a new chapter in her career, but I highly doubt that RW and AEG are viewing it that way. While 50 shows in a year is a lot, she was doing closer to 90 from 2016-19 (not counting cancellations). IMO, announcing the residency in February around the release of the movie, and starting in November/December 2023 would be ideal, but I'm doubtful they're willing to wait that long if she'll be back on stage Feb 24. I don't know for sure, obviously, but Carrie Underwood does 6-show runs on Wed-Fri-Sat, and Katy Perry does 8-show runs either Wed-Fri-Sat-Fri-Sat-Wed-Fri-Sat or Fri-Sat-Wed-Fri-Sat-Wed-Fri-Sat. If David Blaine is there Dec 16-17 (there will likely be no shows Dec 18-27 due to the holidays), then Katy Perry will likely return Wed, Dec 28 and perform 8 shows thru Sat, Jan 14 and Carrie would return Wed, Jan 18 for 6 shows thru Sat, Jan 28. Then, Luke returns Feb 1. Celine is on tour until April 11, leaving Fri, Apr 28 and Fri, May 5 as the two most likely opening weekends, with 10 shows performed through either May 13 or 20. This gives her time to return home after the UK shows in April and have enough time for rehearsals/private showing(s). She returns to Europe in late-May for the Tel Aviv show May 31. She could realistically do another leg in June after Bucharest, and another before Amsterdam in August, then do the final leg of 2023 in November after the tour ends. This brings her to ~90 shows in 2023. Quote

True and when she does come back breaks are going to be vital I suspect. Not cramming in shows where there are gaps but properly resting between them. 1 Quote

You are right that surely the European shows at the fourth time of asking have to be the priority. Quote
Shamrock_1982 Posted September 28, 2022 at 09:25 PM Posted September 28, 2022 at 09:25 PM It would only be between 10–20 vegas shows to get her warmed up and keep Resorts World happy before completing the tour. 4 Quote

I agree. She could probably even do closer to 30 since she only has 8 shows scheduled from April 12 to August 25. That's 8 shows in the span of 130+ days. PuraVida Posted September 30, 2022 at 07:34 AM Posted September 30, 2022 at 07:34 AM In my opinion, we won't see her on a concert stage anywhere until 2023. I also don't really care whether she starts Vegas first or the tour first or how she juggles that. Whatever is easiest and best for her is fine for me. I just hope she is happy to be on stage and we get good fan footage 5 Quote
ryba Posted September 30, 2022 at 08:02 AM Posted September 30, 2022 at 08:02 AM (edited) No way she returns this year. It’s only 3 months left till 2023. My guess is that the movie might be released in February and this is when she will make her first appearances again promoting the movie and simultaneously announcing her return to the stage in probably April or so to make people book tickets. ryba Posted September 30, 2022 at 08:07 AM Posted September 30, 2022 at 08:07 AM This has definitely been the longest break of her entire career so far. Even between 2000-2002 she recorded songs for ANDHC and OH, recorded and performed Sous Le Vent, shot music videos, prepared and a Vegas show and performed at the Tribute to the heroes. From 2020-2022 she only appeared on 2 covid events from her home and that was it. 2 Quote
stevo Posted September 30, 2022 at 09:38 AM Posted September 30, 2022 at 09:38 AM This is why I’d like her to hold off Vegas until the movie and the tour starts up again, so there is a bit of momentum and excitement for Vegas instead of just shoe-horning it in 2 Quote

There was also the Today Show interview, her Resorts World promo video, and some Instagram photo and Twitter activity (including eventually the photos of her bejeweled elephant for that environmental cause. But yes, this break and silence in her career is unprecedented. Quote

Popular Post Shamrock_1982 Posted September 30, 2022 at 06:46 PM Popular Post Posted September 30, 2022 at 06:46 PM (edited) This has hit hard… what an amazing show he put together for her. Her most popular and successful Vegas residency and as it evolved it just got better and better and the DVD never really captured just how incredible it was. It was my first ever Céline show and I returned to see it many times over the years and it holds so many amazing memories and feelings for me, in particular when I got the rose from her, and got a backstage tour and stood on that amazing stage on another visit. But the lighting, staging, visuals and the simple cirque statement touches with Céline at the centre really was special and I always hoped they would work together again in the future. RIP Franco.
