This is their pressing concern? Their tweet made me eyeroll.

 

It's radio silence unless it's a condolences for death, selling from their online gift shop, or...checks notes...warning people about 3 nobodies on social media.

 

Can't really blame them in this case.

I have a few IT responsabilities at my job and you'd be surprised how (otherwise intelligent) people can completely fail to recognize scams/phishing attempts, not even just older people. I'll regularly send out company-wide e-mails pointing out examples of phishing and ways to recognize scams. And it really does pay off. So i think it's a good thing they posted this tbh.

Can't really blame them in this case.

Some celebs actually respond to their fans on social media… so you can’t totally blame them. But clearly these people don’t follow Céline closely

I would have thought that if she felt okay to go on, it would be Vegas now and next year tour.

 

Somehow I don't see her doing the tour, and than do a brand new show in Vegas for a few nights, and go back on tour again.

Especially since she wasn't able to perform the last 2 years. I cannot imagine her doing a killer schedule on her body immediately.

 

But I guess her contract isn't giving her much options now.

Yes, I think the silence speaks volumes. I also have my doubts that she will comeback in early 2023, maybe later in 2024/2025? But I hope I'm wrong.

Thinking the same now... She might not be 100% able to perform yet, but she could've at least done something else. Like record something or do a live stream (a la Winter Song) or even do just a proper interview. It's been way too long now.

Been thinking the same thing ever since they announced the European leg was being postponed again, and that nearly 7 months after the Vegas postponement, she was (in her words) “Doing a little better… but it’s not enough”. If after 7 months there is very little recovery or improvement, then it’s something a lot more serious than was let on.

Well, drucker was interviewed last week and was asked about Celine. His response was quite clear about how the last 2 years were difficult for her. Referring to the fact that they were a duo, for everything. And then he added that with the voice she has she cannot come back with a different one or va an altered one.

 

At this point it s possible that she is still not happy with the way she sounds or just lost it.

I've given up hope of a January return to Vegas. Something would have been announced by now. There's no way, given Team Celine's previous track record, of them announcing something in October for January. 3 months isn't enough time to get finances together for flights, hotels, tickets, food, etc, as well as getting time off work. That's asking a lot for most of us. Chances are I'm going to NYC in January anyway since Phantom is closing and I want to check seeing it on Broadway off my bucket list. -sigh- She'll be back when she's ready. I just hope she's doing ok.

It sounds like she’s still having a really hard time emotionally without rene mabye these last 2 years off gave her time to really mourn his death in privacy without the media in her face.

Consider that even if she returns in early 2023, she’s not performed in 3 years… which leaves only 3 years to go until in 2026!

from what he says, it looks like she hasn‘t recovered emotionally yet, and this might also be the cause for other health issues. That’s totally understandable. But on the other hand I also wonder, because in many late interviews she came across as very strong and bold as if everything was perfect and she was back on track. I wish we knew more. But here he also points out that she is concerned of being out of shoe vocally, because she hasn’t performed for a long time. Edited September 19, 2022 at 10:05 AM by ryba

It's hard to know to interpret his comments are more general, or if he is commenting on how she has been the last 6 months or even nowadays. Does he even know? And by not sung I took that to mean "on stage", but if is he revealing that she literally has not sung in ages (as of September 2022) then that's a bit of a bombshell.

 

I was fascinated that she is not in touch with him directly. It was the same way with David Foster. It seems she is maintaining close boundaries.
