She just tweeted that she will dedicate tonight's show to her mom ......

I really hope she is up to doing the show. Going on stage after her Dad died was amazingly brave, but she is allowed to take time for herself, and I am sure fans would understand.

And this should silence many of you who have shamed Celine for not promoting Courage...she was probably spending a lot of this time with her mom.

🥺

Hope tonight's audience will be filled with big fans. Wish I could be there in person to show my love and support, but I'll be there in spirit 💓

Hope her boys have joined her by now.

I have a feeling that céline will sing Ce N’etait Qu’un Reve for tribute to her mom when she goes back

Was gonna say exactly this...but how the heck emotionally is she going to follow that after MHWGO? That song would be hard enough.

I think performing is how she heals.

Don't speculate and act all self righteous.

Celine is such a strong and inspiring woman and professional. I can't imagine the strength it takes to go on stage when you've just lost one of your parents.

Tonight's show is going to be a memorable one for all there. I hope the audience gives her the love, support, and strength to get through it. How I wish I could be there.

RIP Maman Dion.

The month of January just keeps getting heavier and heavier for Celine and her family.

So sad to hear about Maman Dion. I can just see Adhémar, Daniel, and René welcoming her to Heaven. I know they will all be watching over Céline and all the family and loved ones.

Just so you know as fans we could slam the terrible promotion of this album and at the same time be very saddened by todays news. I don’t think today and this thread is the place to do that.

May she rest in heaven and Celine find the "Courage” she needs to cope.

Also, reports now saying she actually passed “late last night” if true would mean she passed exactly four years to the day that Daniel did, ALSO Renés birthday, she once said that René came for her brother on his birthday to stop his suffering, I was think Celine will have to believe that René was there again.

AMEN!!! Celine is so strong. And she did announce just now that tonight's Miami show will still go on.... dedication and tribute to Maman.

Also, I wonder how she will explain this to her children...who are now a bit older. I’m not sure the “Up” explanation is as mature for someone of that age..

Does anyone know any details of how Celine's mother passed? I know she was 92, but usually there's a cause of death, like heart failure or something. I just hope she passed peacefully in her sleep and didn't suffer. I know her health hadn't been the best from what Claudette Dion said not too long ago, but I still wonder if her passing was expected or sudden? I hope it wasn't sudden for Celine's sake and that she had a little time to process it.

Hopefully she had a little time to say her goodbye's and share one last precious moment with her mom before she passed. I know she's on tour, but it's possible that she could have gotten a call in the night telling her that her mom wasn't doing well and to come as soon as possible. It's possible that Celine could have quickly flown to Montreal in the middle of the night and then flown back? I hope she got that chance anyways.

I know I've already posted on Celine's moms passing today, but I just can't stop thinking about it. It's just so sad. My heart breaks for Celine and I hate knowing that her heart is heavy with sadness and tragedy yet again. I am not really looking forward to seeing footage of Celine tonight because I know she will be sad, but I am very proud of her courage and strength. I don't look forward to paparazzi pics of the funeral either. Hopefully the media will be respectful about it and leave her and her family alone. I know Rene's funeral was very public, but I hope her mom's service is private. I personally hated all the media attention that Celine and her family got during Rene's funeral. It's all too sad .

I’d “imagine” she will go on with the show tonight in Miami for her mother ( like she did for her father) and then possibly cancel the shows after to be with her family for the memorial/ funeral services.

Celine has a layover after the Charlotte concert on Tuesday night 1/21 before resuming in San Antonio on 1/30. She'll probably have the funeral during that layover and still do the scheduled shows. She's so strong. So hard for the whole Dion family. Thinking of them today.

Word on the street is that she was fighting an oil rig fire in the Gulf of Mexico.

They just mentioned Therese Dion's passing on TVA. They interviewed Clement Dion and showed the outside of Therese's Montreal home. It looked as though Clement was pulling out of the driveway from that Montreal home. They interviewed him from his car. I am curious to know what was said? The entire segment was in French of course because it was on TVA, so I have no idea what was said. It was a fairly long segment. If anyone has any details?

TC announced that she's still going to do the show tonight, just like she did when her dad passed.

January is marked with alot of sadness for her family. I feel more sorry for RC, whose bday is on the 25th.

Sending her all the strength and love she needs. I hope you fans attending the show in Miami will lift her up.
