I don't think it's a line from LD, since it's a capital on the I it's more likely "Imperfections" is a title of it's own.

 

I’m wondering if this little “we all have imperfections” lyric rumor is from lying down? It would kind of make sense! Or maybe from courage? I can’t wait, whatever the case!

That my brain is mush and I forgot this thread even existed only because I'm too focused on the main album and tour threads. LOL Lying Down is actually my favorite of the three today.

I just listened to it for the first time. Was so exited hearing the intro - a totally new song. Nice that it turend out to be a ballad (one building up) when it sounded like a midtempo track on carpool.

 

But the minute she starts singing (nothing bad about the vocals at all!) I go like "WHAT is she singing?? Or there was one word I got, one pfrase I got...." A lot of complete nonsens 😂 who directed her phrasing on this one???

 

And then I feel it: This Time sequal, or prequal..

 

The song was nice, but had no "oumpf" at all. Don't get why this was a single, honestly - are they ALL singles BTW? Just lot back from work so I missed a lot today.

 

 

Who wrote these lyrics? From the little I got they sound EXTREMELY basic and banal.

 

Gotta go look out for the lyrics somewhere and give it another try.

This time it's not matter to me that much (enunciation), so you can let your imagination flies lol...

 

Mostly with songs that I love I will go and check for the lyrics

and yes when it being sang, I won't understand what I hear right away

that happens to me with all the English artists that I hear.

But I also like to understand what is the song about, that's nice

for songs that I love.

This song resonates with me so much more than This Time. I loved that song at the time as it really hit home for me and helped me find the courage to make some huge necessary changes in my life. But this song...those lyrics....I found me, I found faith, I found trust.....that's huge when you feel like you've lost yourself. I think we all go through phases where we feel like we lose bits of ourselves, for whatever reason, and it's amazing to rediscover that you never really lost it: you just had to find it again. Especially when you're just lost in the day-to-day of things.

The thing with This Time is that the lyrics are too in your face so it's harder to relate to it, the message it's indeed urgent and necessary. Nevertheless I think it makes a great addition to her repertoire.
