AdrienneM Posted September 3, 2021 at 09:36 PM Posted September 3, 2021 at 09:36 PM (edited) 10 Million views without a music video release... Now imagine with a music video and a single remix by David Guetta. David Guetta is no longer the mega-hit-maker producer he was even 5 years ago... a bit behind the times now. I also don’t think that a song about escaping and leaving behind a toxic/abuse relationship is a good candidate for a DJ remix but to each their own Edited September 3, 2021 at 09:37 PM by AdrienneM 1 Quote

I think it’s perfect for a club banging remix. Celinelife Posted September 5, 2021 at 07:16 AM Posted September 5, 2021 at 07:16 AM In truth, this song doesn't need a remix or David Guetta, Sia..it just needs a little shaping. To The Salon! No but seriously, it just needs a music video, which the team is not releasing even though it is already made. 1 Quote

I think it’s perfect for a club banging remix. Some songs are created in a specific way for a reason... I doubt anyone listening to lying down in that situation or fresh out of that type of situation wants an EDM track... its a song about feeling emboldened enough to leave but I don’t see it as being empowering or light hearted to warrant a dance mix... songs like Lying Down, This Time And Breakaway don’t really fit the mould of uptempo freedom. Sometimes songs should just remain ballads. 2 Quote

Sometimes songs should just remain ballads. There are plenty of dance songs and remixes that are not about the happiest of topics. ABBA made a career out of it lol. Celine’s “I Want You To Need Me” was a top 10 on the Billboard dance chart with the Thunderpuss remix. Also, the beat of a song can totally change it’s mood and story too. Take Lara Fabian’s “I Will Love Again.” It’s originally released single was as a dance track. The mood of the song is an empowering and positive anthem , saying she’ll have no problem finding love again after the end of this relationship. She knows in her heart, that even though she is heartbroken; she’s strong enough to move on. Then there’s the ballad version, which changes the mood completely, and sounds more like a melancholy conversation than it does an anthem. There’s more of a desperation in her voice, and an uncertainty of when or how she will find love again because she’s unsure of how long her heartbreak will last. But she knows she’ll get there someday. A stark difference from the dance version where she is absolutely certain she will be able to move on, almost as if she already had. As I said, it works for certain songs, and not for others. I just can’t see a song with the lyrical content and emotional push of Lying Down being a dance track, let alone it translating well. Same as a song like This Time, again, not one I’d see switching to a dance track and certainly one I don’t think would translate well.... I’m just of the opinion certain songs should be left as is :/ Quote

Celinelife Posted October 7, 2021 at 03:07 AM Posted October 7, 2021 at 03:07 AM https://youtu.be/j7h_Jpy2hqg In background you can see people, I think dancers, in red costumes(or paint idk). Art of human beating? She also said if I'm not wrong it will blow your mind to see two dancers giving everything. "I love to shoot videos."If Lizzo can make a video showing #ss I think Celine can do a video of two dancers representing abuse. She also says she is pretty much set for the next four albums coming out cause she has gotten a lot of songs. Good thing for her, but don't take like 6 years to release them. 1 Quote
