She didn’t have to … looking back over the years Celine has always slayed men’s wear… she’s been doing it before it was in. TCOML era, the Oscar’s tux, the Vegas suspenders from AND…, even that more modern tux from the CWT with the massive sleeves.

 

I think this was a missed opportunity, she thrives in this category she could’ve shined even bigger than the camp theme.

I take this as another sign that she s not going anywhere.

It s just easy promotion if in a near future she will have tickets or album to sell. But still not totally ready to sing live.

What is the level of engagement I mean ? A red carpet and a dinner ?

So glad that Celine was invited to attend the Met Gala twice! Not all celebrities have the chance to be invited and be approved by Anna Wintour.

 

I think the qualification to be invited have more to do with the impact/buzz, influential, achievements…

 

If she wasn’t ill, we will see her in this year’s gala.

Why is everyone all doom and gloom everytime she is not somewhere that was never even announced?

 

I do wish she knew she could be professionally active and not do 900 shows a year. We'd love nothing more than an EP.

Obviously we don’t know for sure, but I’d assume Celine has been invited every year since her first year. Also, wouldn’t be shocked if she were invited during the Rene days but turned it down.

 

If it’s not due to her health; Celine may still be living under the idea that she doesn’t want to do certain events until she’s able to be onstage again, to not piss people off. She’s still a professional and pays attention to public perception, for example if she told the people at Eurovision that she won’t be there in person, I’d doubt she’d want to be parading around the carpet at the MET a week prior.

Maybe it has nothing to do with her health but maybe she just doesn’t feel like it… regardless, I feel it was a missed opportunity if she was capable of the appearance health wise… and regardless there’s no way she wasn’t invited. I think certain people are on the invite everywhere list, and Celine is one.

And yet another year passed and we had literally one random official appearance. Even the random outings to games/concerts were almost inexistent comparing to the previous year. Things could have changed for whatever reason and nobody would blame her but a real update is long overdue

You’re 100 right. However, I really do blame the team for a lot of the false hopes. It’s really almost as if they are trolling us.

 

But personally didn’t like how Celine felt the need to update us and “tell the truth” to the fans only when she had a documentary to promote.

That was nice… but your real fans care whether there’s a documentary or not.

 

They are long overdue for an update and the ironic part is nobody knows how to contact her team… this is most inaccessible Celine has been in her whole career. I remember the days of Rene when it was quite easy to get in contact with her team via email.

That’s precisely why I haven’t supported her last few things, I won’t lie the last Celine thing I’ve bought was the Courage album and tour tickets.

 

The “I Am: Celine Dion” album was a slap in our faces, the Unison vinyl is nothing special. I won’t support things just because her names on it even though I’m a big fan for nearly 30 years. This “relationship” needs to feel less “transactional”. LOL

She wouldn’t say she was doing something for a project before an official announcement was made. Especially for something that Paul McCartney is spearheading, as he is a very meticulous person when it comes to his art and business.

That wasn’t a prediction… Celine herself, a year ago said “she’s already back”, and that she was planning a new show in Vegas, etc.

 

For whatever reason it hasn’t happened (yet)…. But not false hope when it came directly from the artist. Unless Celine herself had false hope and passed it on to us.

I’d say atleast give it till the end of the month, maybe they may announce something at Eurovision or she may do a few interviews there if she does attend and may give us an idea of what’s next.

 

But if it happens that for whatever reason she doesn’t attend and we are at this point at the same time next month then yeah I agree that they do need to do some kind of exclusive interview again with an update a year on from Honda’s interview for fans, they do owe us something at this point!

The sad part is even if someone interviews her, they never ask the question to get her speak…. Ask bluntly… “so what’s next? Are you working on a new album, or heading back to Vegas for a residency, perhaps a new movie or tour?”

 

Instead they ask something like, “so do you see yourself returning” and then Celine answers like “well you see me don’t you”…

Her publicist has trained her well, but the crappy questions don’t help.

While I initially did I altered them yesterday and admittedly said so. As stated earlier Celine herself spoke very blatantly about a comeback to the Stage. This is a forum where we can express our thoughts in the matter. But clearly her team is and has led us astray ; at the very least let the cat out of the bag way too prematurely

Oh a EP, the easiest way to make us happy and who knows maybe to stay a bit relevant.

After the Spotify Singles I thought they finally understood how it works and that we get more stuff like that in the future.

 

And it's not that she needs to get back in the studio for that. For example the songs from Love Again could have been an EP.

I think the manager can only do so much unless the manager is a spouse like Rene was. I still want to know what happened to Aldo because for his short tenure he was working and booking and keeping her busy. I bet had he stayed her manager through the covid and SPS era it would’ve been different.

I’m disappointed too and kept checking X last night hoping for an appearance when I should have been sleeping for work! The silence is beyond annoying! Why can’t they just give an update?

 

I keep thinking that maybe something big is around the corner and that it’s all a big secret. The reason we feel like that is because usually when artists are silent, something is going on…

 

But there seems to be no logic with this team.

 

I’m waiting for the “Celine doesn’t owe us anything, get on with your lives” comments to come next now a few people have spoken up today. It’s always the same and the cycle will go on. Those same people log in daily to see what’s new, and have just as much hope that Celine will return or share an update.

 

The social media posts are really a joke… I wouldn’t mind them if we actually had some real updates occasionally. I mean Celine can put out a statement about scammers but not about her career..

 

I actually thought before the documentary last year that Celine wasn’t bothered about her career anymore, because again there were no updates in so long. Then we get a number of interviews and the documentary where Celine said she is sorry for not sharing her struggles, and she misses her fans, her career and wants to continue…. In reality I have not seen this at all. We understand that Celine has this horrible disease and that things won’t be the same, and I think the fanbase and people generally have been really supportive. Again why is Celine not updating anyone what is going on? I don’t get it….

 

Or is Celine incapable of singing/performing and are they worried that if the news gets out, it will end her career. Only thing I can think of at this point….
