I expected a bit more oomph during the chorus and at the end when the song builds up.

Maybe some water or smoke effects on the backgrounds when doing her movements.

 

Ah well, at least we got another videoclip in 1 month time.

Well I hoped/longed for a cinematic video for 'Courage'. It just screams for it.

They should've shot it between mountains and outside (where she did that photoshoot on the rocks), kinda like 'Immensite'.

 

Buttttt.... I've watched the video a few times now and I kinda like it (it's also better in HD). It's very simple, yet artistic and the transitions have been done very nicely.

 

Well you guys complained for videos all these years.... now you're getting them

Instead of maybe 1-2 expensive ones, we'll be getting at least 3 simple ones.

It makes me laugh that people were moaning for the longest about no MVs and then they do 2 in 2 months and people *still* complain but its because theyre not extreme enough. This sort of MV for Courage is absolutely fine, jumping around in a hot pink bodysuit with dancers and CGI just doesnt suit this song at all. They made the right decision

I like the song so much that the video works for me. Simple but it shows her feeling, which I guess was the purpose. Also her videos don't have such a big reach anyway, so it only makes sense Sony doesn't invest that much.

I think the starkness was symbolic of her life and having to deal with the happiness and darkness of being alone from someone that "coloured" her world for so long. Rene was the "Colour of her Love" and "Courage" shows how the physical manifistation of that colour has disappeared hence, the simplicity we see here.

I guess it's better than nothing but I wouldn't call it a Music Video, it's more of an 'Official visualizer'. There are some great moments where the light becomes an instrument and it is beautiful ans simple but other moments where you notice they lack footage and don't know how to be creative with the plans they have so it becomes very boring and repetitive. Celine please surprise us with that Lying down video and show us you can invest at least half of what you put into clothes and purses in a music video that will be remembered for years , you're the boss now come on show us what you got!

 

Btw I still love that we have a video for it so I am not complaining I just hope we get One real music video that is at the height of her talent and power.

I think it's a nice video, simple to match the song. Shows off her amazing figure and "catwalk butt" walk. I think my expectations of amazing Celine videos died when she released that pile of videos for A New Day i.e. "I want you to need me" - like what were they thinking? Her team usually shits the bed when It comes to ensuring her videos are good.

Half of Imperfections was tour-video stuff I think anyway, so it was kinda just repurposed for a majority of it.

She just walks in front of a white wall, backlight. The meaning is so on the nose (struggling alternatively between darkness and hope) that it begins to be boring - exactly how the lyrics did, so it might be an appropriate hommage to moccio's work... It's poorly filmed - and not even in sequence shot. At least there's some superimposition.

 

I loved the Imperfections MV, but here the simplicity doesn't really help the song. Cause it's not simple: it's banal and uninspired.

 

Plus, the outfit totally misfit the theme. Too sexy. And her shoulders are bony... Why didn't they smooth it with cgi? Now they look like Gaga's in Born this way.

The clip is simple, beautiful, brings a message, but when you have a big clip of 4 minutes where nothing happens, it gets boring.

Sorry for finding the clip boring, but that's what I found.

All the time I thought things would happen enada, I thought they would merge color images with black and white, as they did in the ALL By MYSELF clip and nothing happens.

In the last chorus I thought everything was going to be colored, fire would come out of the floor, nothing else happened.

Anyway, at least we have a video clip of celine.

What I don't understand is why in most of their videos they don't strive to make a good video, it's always Celine alone behind the green screen.

More is what we have for today.

I will not raise expectations for the LD video, because I know it will be a simple video with Celine alone.

It elongates her face. She looks so much better with hair loose. It's just funny that people all the time going back and have flashbacks to things of the "past", so it happened with PMLALS and now people wants to see the LD video, because someone fell asleep while filming the video for Courage

 

If I expect something inspiring to happen in one video and it didn't happen it's ok, though I loved Imperfections!

but it repeat itself again, and that's pity. I wrote about it yesterday that they will play it safe with this video but didn't think

they will go with zero creativity for this video. Well, glad at least there are new interviews on their way.
