It makes me a pinch nervous that tomorrow we are supposed to learn about what this event is.

 

And on Celine’s Instagram we just learned that the Celinununu summer line launches tomorrow as well.

 

What if this event is for her children’s clothing line???! 🤣

Nah - AEG wouldn't have anything to do with that. Additionally it's not a Sony hosted event either so that "possibly" strikes out an album launch. More likely to be a tour of some kind - or she doing a residency at the Royal Albert Hall in London or the Sydney Opera House :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

2. Announcement of a new residency at the O2 in London

3. Announcement of an AEG collaboration with Netflix to release a series or film about the end of her Vegas residency

 

Any other ideas?

It could also be related to the Hyde Park concert but I don't know what exactly they could say about it that is "special event worthy"

Well if they're announcing a tour, that tour has to have a name ... soo .... part of the announcement could involve a reveal of more album details, perhaps the cover art and album title, etc ....

I thought they said Hyde Park would be her only European date of 2019. However I love the idea of a residency in London and in case it's happening in 2020, wouldn't it be too soon to announce it now since Hyde Park isn't finished yet.

Tour 2017: “Celine Dion Live 2027”

Tour 2018: “Celine Dion Live 2018”

 

Viva la originality!!

(And that’s what happens when you don’t have any new music to justify a new tour year after year)

Why would they give a name to a "Greatest Hits Tour" between 2016-2018? Even Adele's world tour was simply called Adele Live 2016-2017.

I'm talking about a World Tour that would be designed to support an album release.

 

So they'd probably come up with a more creative name .... just saying ....

If she's releasing an English album soon ... then I really think that this talk about Hyde Park being the only European date is just to sell tickets.

 

I think London is one of the few places that she could pull off a short term residency (like, one month) working with AEG. There are tons of AEG venues all over the world but for a residency to work, you have to be somewhere with a huge influx of global tourists and a venue that is also some kind of destination.

 

My dream is for her to do one month in Carnegie Hall, one month at the Sydney Opera House, etc, so that instead of one residency with mini tours on the side, it's just one long, drawn out World Tour where she really gets settled in each location.

I could see Wembley being included with the European dates (probably during Summer 2020). However, I doubt an O2 Arena residency. London just isn't the best city for that (for her). She needs to tour for this album. I think it will be a big announcement of her future touring plans. I say this because this event is run by AEG Presents. Elton held a similar type of event at Gotham Hall in New York on January 24, 2018. He performed a few songs and announced his three-year "farewell" concert tour.

I would LOVE if she did a residency at the Royal Albert hall. Someone mentioned a residency at O2, that's way to big for a residency.

Apparently Adele was just spotted going into a recording studio.

 

Wouldn’t it be a dream come true if she had a duet with Celine on Celine’s new album??!

 

That’d be the attention grabber to ensure another #1 song for Celine.

 

Regardless, I think Celine’s album will hit #1 no matter what.

Guys c'mon ... why would Celine had any residency in UK?!? .. UK undergoing the major political crisis with complete unstable government and economics. She have no strings here in UK and she never even mentioned that before ... This is the most ridiculous option.

Major political crisis/instability/Brexit hardly means the music will stop playing lol! Completely plausible- she has a huge fan-base here

There are no other arguments than just a huge fan base (which she have all around the world anyway)

She never mentioned any will of doing residency in the UK .. as much as I wish it could be truth ( as I live here) I don't see any of her connections to UK ... She is hardly played in Radio stations in here anyway. And she already announced Hyde Park Summer Fest headline ...

 

There's no way for UK residency.. She wouldnt let her kids to change schooling and their stability to come to UK for more than one / two shows

A residency can be short too.... a couple of months of shows

 

This would t warrant changing school if done at certain times of the year
