When MJ announced his final "This Is It" tour, it was at that kind of event, right ? 😏😎 Don't you think Celine could announce a HUGE world tour that way ?

I think that making a listening party just to ask a number of random people what songs they should pick for singles appears kind of ridiculous. They as her team should know which songs have the potential to be singles...

 

When they pick things like “Goodbye’s The Saddest Word” over ANYTHING else on “A New Day Has Come” or they don’t release “Reveal” from “One Heart” it’s clear they NEED help! That’s only two examples of the monumental errors they’ve made in single choices over the years.

well yes, that's a different story... Her team should consist of competent people who are up to date with current trends and do reasearch to find out what the vast majority of her fans want, not just ask some random people who were lucky to get to the LA event

Didn't she say 'I'll die on stage' pretty recently? Lol

She's not doing a farewell tour.

 

I think there are several announcements at once. Maybe album/tour/Netflix series? (please let it be true 😋)

 

I'm also wondering about the interview she gave to 50 minutes inside? Wasn't that supposed to air today even? I can't believe they would spoil the big announcement though, so what is she going to say on there? Is it just a 'Farewell Vegas'-interview?

Don't we need a thread for that as well?

I think she is doing a listening party like for The Color Of My Love back in the Old days :)

 

Where they will play the songs from the new album and fans can be present

 

 

 

And then in the end she will sing a romantic song and announce her undying love for Pepe

I think this special event could be one of the following options:

 

· Announcement of big world tour for next year.

 

· New album listening party.

 

· Intimate concert (like the Edison Ballroom show from 2013, I remember they announced it the same way back then).

 

· Press conference about the new album, upcoming tour and end of Las Vegas chapter.

 

· Marathon of interviews about the new single / album.

You already had to be financially ready since early last month when we basically got the confirmation she would be going on tour... :giggle:

If they announce on the 3rd, I’d say pre-sales would probably begin a few days after (Apr 5-8), and the general sale around a week or so after (Apr 10-12). Edited by brendanm999

That was just for press.

 

The only 'public' listening party was for Taking Chances.

We knew very little about that one, was in the period where smartphones weren't the norm :giggle:

 

Not sure if this will be a listening party, what about if people leaking the songs before it will be released? Or is that part of the plan these days?

 

I didn’t even know that there’s a listening party until they did it back in 2013 for her Loved Me Back To Life Album

That's what I was thinking.

And since the email said 'No professional cameras allowed, phone cameras are fine' I think it's some kind of mini show, or press conference or whatever hahahah

also for those listening party or so they probably will make u sign stuff or so, that u can't tell much info or title of the songs ... and can't video ......

so yeah i dont' know though

 

and for the singles choices and stuff well i think now it's a different time as now Celine's cool again and the new fashion icon, a legend, queen of vegas and ballad so new single might be a hit doesn't matter if it's uptempo song or ballad

They played all the songs of the album, except for 2-3 songs I believe. Everyone had to rank the songs they heard.

It was a pretty unique thing for Céline's team to be doing..

I felt that the taking chances album was well thought through, was consistent through the songs, photo shoot, packaging ect!

 

I hope this new album will have a theme as I was lost with LMBTL even though it had some good songs.

I remember that René was really surprised by the huge positive reaction Fade Away got during the listening party! I think that was the only reason it ended up being in the tour setlist. Such a shame it wasnt chosen as a single :(

Yep Fade Away is the best song on the album and screamed for single with a great video. TC, Alone and FA would have been a great single/video triology.
