The fact Sony Music Canada has retweeted these latest posts means nothing, looking back through their Twitter they seem to retweet quite a lot of her tweets.

 

I honestly think the album is still a while away ie fall time so I’m pretty sure this is a tour announcement, possibly only just announcing the first couple of legs with Europe and such to follow as they won’t want to jeopardise BST ticket sales. If anything we may get a new single to back up this announcement but I’m not even sure we’ll get that.

 

It definitely seems to me that new music is not her priority these days but hopefully the ‘world’ tour will be to promote something and not just more touring just for the sake of it.

 

I’m so ready for new music so again I really hope I’m pleasantly surprised come Wednesday.

Think she will be touring North America from the end of the year until early next year. And that she will do Europe in Spring/Summer next year (but I don't think they will announce the European leg this week... but the week after Hyde Park in July).

Exactly. They’ve obviously been waiting for vegas to end to announce this North American leg, so the same premise applies. However I wonder if it is a world tour if they will leave Asia / Oceania to last considering she was there most recently

So she's holding a special event to announce the release of a short promotional clip serving no other purpose than to mark the end of her Vegas show, then doing a major US publicity tour to promote ... shows that are already sold out ... ?

IMO they would announce a north american leg now... maybe 50 dates worth including Canada. That would take over maybe 3-4 months at a moderate pace for Celine. She could start North America in Late August and be done for Mid December, take a break for the holidays and start a small South American Leg in Mid- Late Jan. Start Europe in Late February and move on to Asia / Oceania last in maybe June 2020.... and if south africa were to happen that would maybe be last in like August

I'll laugh a lot if all this is just to show this video, I do not understand, the way is to wait until Wednesday.

Have not posted in FOREVER, but coming on to post my prediction that she will be completely dropping the album without any promo a la Beyonce.

 

I don't think she'll do this, my guess is that she's going to announce some kind of concept / direction / branding for "the next chapter" after Vegas, which could include an American tour connected to an upcoming album with no definite release date ... just a name and a concept tied into the marketing materials for the tour.

 

She still has a wave of momentum to ride leading up to the final show, which will be the most free publicity she will get in a decade or more as it is the absolute end of her Vegas era and an inflection point regarding trends in popular music at large.

 

If I were her I would wait to release new music until the end of the final show, but she needs to get the anticipation started before that point.

At the end of the day, you have to consider the financial costs of doing promotion on this scale. Why would they want fans from all over to come to LA for a small launch? Venue costs, staffing etc, albeit well within their budget, still carries cost. I am sure this will be the start of the new album!

Indeed, the end of her residency will be something big.

She leaves Vegas (the new Vegas René and her created 16 years ago) when booming. Sure there will be TV and papers around and hence some free publicity.

if this was a real album party or a later to be broadcasted special taping of the album songs, transmited live just one song to the internet they would have given more fans the proper chance to try. because that would have been huge and historic and more meaninful to her career and every deserved the same chance.

The announcement won’t be L’Oréal. Why would it be AEG? Now if they’re using a new song in association that would sort of make sense in a weird way but still. It’s something concert related.
