Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

Recommended Posts

Well Madonna is basically doing a retirement tour ;) where she goes to a few select cities and do 7 to 10 shows in smaller venues. I'm not sure what that will mean in terms of grossing revenues. Will be interesting to compare. Hope Celine tops Madonna this time! :D

17 in New York alone. Evidently she will be making bank.

"People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."

If “Love Is On The Way” doesn’t make it to the setlist for the “Courage World Tour,” I will be baffled. I think it sums up a lot of what Celine has said the last couple of years.

Prepare to be baffled :sofunny:

Also don’t hold your breath for “Then You Look At Me”.

But don’t worry still a shot at Purple Rain & without a doubt LCMM and RDMH.

Love that song! Wish she'd do more songs in this timeless soulful way👌

Oh and I wouldn't hold my breath for it being in this tour. 😯

Hey, so for people who have been to any Céline world tour before, I’m the type that likes to get up and dance and stuff at shows and hates sitting down the whole time...so do people stand up for her up tempo hits usually like TTWII or I’m Alive?? I’ve noticed on some vegas footage that no ones standing for either and then there’s like 2 or 3 people who stand and dance but then they sit down like halfway through ya know... just curious

Yeah people dance. But of course depends on the people next to you. In Paris for example I was standing and everyone to the right of me. But people to the left were sitting and I didn't give a F**K. If the people in front of me are standing, I'm standing. But I won't be somewhere in the middle and stand if everyone in front of me is sitting (has never happened.. ) But usually people sit down after 2-3 songs when she starts singing a ballad and then stand up again for a bit up tempo song

I'm always so conflicted about this.

On the one hand, I think people should be allowed to get up and dance and I can't be mad if they do.

On the other hand, I always keep in mind that I might be hindering other people's enjoyment of the show. Some people are older, disabled, have a hard time getting up for whichever reason, are from different cultures (with different concert habits)..so then I just feel bad for being in their way.

Just one more reason to look forward to BST where we'll have no choice but to stand up and go crazy 😜

Agree with you. I am however going to stand up if the people in front of me are standing up. But I would never hinder other peoples view.

That's why I don't want to see signs or balloons. It's annoying enough to have a tall person in front of you. But to have a sign or a balloon and you can't see the stage because of it? I might kill someone ;) :innocent:

Yes, Denise Truscello is actually the official photographer of Céline.. So for sure they will release a photo book..

I think Denise is hired by Ceasars Entertainment and has a contract with them. She didn't go with Céline on tour last year because she was busy with other projects.

Sure, Denise does photograph Céline for private moments and has been working with her since the beginning of Vegas, when the Colusseum was being built but sadly I think she's got too many projects going on plus Caesars Entertainment

if you have paid more than 100 euro to have a seat the last thing you want is someone blocking your view. if everybody stands, okay i will stand as well. But during the other moments please be seated, you ruin someone else’s concert experience. And another thing i really hate is when people sing along loud so you cannot hear the singer anymore. She won’t hear you anyway! so my advice, and what i usually do when i really want to - lipsync;)

Yesssss!!! I agree, lipsync!!! Nobody is paying a LOT of money to year you sing. We are there for Céline.

Some songs are made to sing a long too though and Céline almost asks for it..

I only sing out loud when everyone is singing with Céline. Like when she sang S'il Suffisait D'aimer and Ziggy. But those songs ask for people to sing a long.

I only been only once to a concert, it's celine concert, everyone sing along so loud, it sound like a big choir, everyone get up and dance, just few times people sit and silent, I don't remember if anyone bothered me during the show, all I can remember is the special experience that I've never been before, I saw and old lady sing and dance so cheerful, it makes me smile because I feel a lot of happiness in the room, nothing I can complain. Maybe it's because that's my first ever concert so I really enjoy the moment.

You do whatever you want!! This is your time with Céline and if you want to sing and dance then you should and not let any misery guts ruin your fun. If they want to sit, they can but you have every right to go crazy. The first time I saw her, someone tapped me on the shoulder and told me to sit down- in short, it was the last thing they said to me because I made it quite clear that this event was my reason for being and existing and that nothing would stop me. I’m not a selfish person- the opposite. But with Céline....I draw the line.

I kind of agree with the don't stand unless the moment calls for it (that usually happens almost like instinct and everyone gets up) but if you want to sing along I think you should. No way anyone's singing will be louder than Celine with her microphone and loud speakers.

On a separate note, I'm conflicted on whether I will follow fan videos of the tour when it starts or if I'll hold out on "spoilers" until after I go to my show.

Anyone else have the same dilemma?

Me, I have the same problem but I’m also attending her first USA Show so I may try my hardest to hold out and wait to be surprised! It’s gonna be hard.

Which is her first show in the US? I'm going to the Dec 7th show in NY. It would only be two months of waiting so maybe I can be strong enough (I doubt it lol). I'll at least try my hardest XD

The Cleveland show. I’m hoping the set list is still at its longest, as her tours tend to start with the longest set list and slowly she removes a few songs. However, it’s a catch 22 because the show is in October before the new album is out so there could be more new songs added in the later shows.

Thankfully its Montreal and Quebec she’s doing first, so there will be at least 10-12 french songs, meaning you will still have an element of surprise because the US shows will be anglophone, as for Ottawa, on TCWT she had a mixed set list, like what she had in Berne in 2017, so still hope for a surprise or two in Cleveland lol

Considering you will be at the first fully Anglophone show in the USA, you will probably get the longest set list

It's even harder for Europe.

They don't even have a date yet.

I don't know if we can make it without spoilers for at least a year :sofunny:

I'm hoping to hold out as well but will be VERY hard and not sure I can actually do it when it comes down to it. At least I only have to wait until Nov. 1 for my show

I'll say this. When "Celine" started in 2011, I watched the videos and listened to the clips we had and enjoyed it very much. Then I saw the show in 2012 and felt there was no element of suprise as I knew the show from beginning to end without even having seen it. So when she did her 2016 mini tour I stayed away from clips, videos and photos of the European portion and all I can say is I was not disappointed. While I enjoyed "Celine" I found not knowing the setlist before the show made it much more special. I am lucky that this time around I am seeing the 2nd show of the tour so I can enjoy the videos and photos as staying away from the topic when you know there's clips and photos is not easy to do.

I knew "Celine" by heart by the time I went to see her show but I still enjoyed it tremendously but you're exactly right. There's much more excitement when you don't know what to expect, from setlist to visuals and outfits.

My shows won’t be until next year: Oakland and San Francisco. There’s no way I can avoid spoilers that long. LOL

I highly doubt that we are able to do so ;)
