remykyes Posted October 3, 2019 at 07:57 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 07:57 PM Well, this 24 notice is complete BS. I'm totally annoyed that now not only am I stuck flying to Montreal when it's too late to change flights without massive costs, but now I'll be stuck there with absolutely nothing to do. Needless to say, I won't be going in February either and wasting more time and money. I think that was the last time I'm going to try to see Celine. Completely disappointing. Celine is KNOWN for her 24 hour notices, sometimes canceling right before the show. But that just proves how much she wants to be back on stage for her fans. And yes, it is disappointing, but it’s even more disappointing to Celine thinking she’s let the fans down. She’s not a machine. She’s not 20-30 anymore. She just had to reschedule SIX shows, which amounts to close to 100,000 fans not getting to see her. But go on. Complain how she fought to be back on stage when other performers, who shall remain nameless, cancel when they break a nail. 4 Quote New Signature Coming Soon!
Céline RO Posted October 3, 2019 at 07:58 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 07:58 PM Hate that she got sick! But glad the concerts are rescheduled and hopefully this will show her & her team that she must put her health first as she continues this massive tour. She’ll be stronger than ever in no time! What do you mean by “show her team that she must put her health first”? The rescheduling of these shows is the best possible evidence that they ARE putting her health first. Of course she probably wasn’t in top shape for the opening shows but it was very unlikely she would have canceled those no matter what reason. 1 Quote The best is yet to come...

Javito Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:00 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:00 PM Both the TC and LTAL world tours had many such problems (for obvious reasons though) and they still ended up being amazing, memorable tours. However that did result in the fact that she has still not done a show in Spain and New Zealand fans have had to wait 22 years for her to return. I really hope they do a movie or documentary on this tour and show us all of these behind the scenes moments. And yet the same exact places ignored in 1999 keep being ignored... Yet it's always the same places (where she has already performed) that get additional extra dates added... Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
RosieBarron Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:01 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:01 PM To be honest this doesn't surprise me. Even if the virus is a simple cold, you can't put a timing on when it will clear up. She also needs to be fully well on her return or the problem will just get worse. I'm sure another few days and it'll be fine. Very disappointing for those hoping she would be back for their show. 2 Quote

Javito Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:12 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:12 PM (edited) I was 100% sure that with this tour she was going to come to Spain, especially as Pepe is Spanish. I’m still hoping for that though and for South America as well. Slim chances, slim, but I'm still hoping. Though each year I'm more disappointed. Another artist I follow, Dido, she just announced her first ever Latin American tour to begin next month, including stops in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. She's spent 6 years without releasing any new music and she's doing a world tour with great success after all these years. And Dido is a tiny artist compared with Celine. So I can't believe an artist like Celine Dion, with countless shows and tours on her back hasn't still found the time to make a stop in Portugal, Lisbon or Italy (and I mean a decent show, not as part of a festival ). After 30+ years of career Come on Pepe, close those damn deals and release that video for the Spanish-speaking public. We're a huge wave of people, warm and noisy Edited October 3, 2019 at 08:20 PM by Javito 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

nuts2you Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:21 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:21 PM why do you guys still want her to keep adding on, are you trying to kill her with all these dates, she no machine , or the Energizer bunny, that keeps going going 2 Quote
Nmj Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:21 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:21 PM I think it would’ve been safer to just have cancelled ALL the Montréal shows the first time around, I know she was hoping to be better but either way she should’ve just rescheduled them all at once and start again fresh in the next city. The way they have been doing seems very last minute. However, in Celine’s defense this is a World Tour not Las Vegas the huge bulk of the people attending these shows live in the city or very close to the City they are seeing her perform so in my opinion the Vegas issue is more upsetting because MANY more people planned a whole vacation around Vegas to see her show. 3 Quote

Say that to the already more than packed North American leg of the tour Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Céline RO Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:31 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:31 PM Could it actually be that her stylist doesn't control her tour schedule... I am still thinking there may be more European dates to come. I guess there is still time for more locations to be added. Of course he doesn’t but he’s her “best friend” so... I don’t think she will add more European dates (though I certainly do hope so), at least not for 2020. There are already 44 (including the ones in the Middle East) with more to come (extra dates added because of demand) so this already is HUGE. Before they were announced I was hoping we would get at least 30 so I am amazed by how many we already got. 1 Quote The best is yet to come...
Céline RO Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:33 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:33 PM Why do people (including Céline) refer to Brooklyn as an independent city when talking about this tour? Isn’t it fully integrated in New York City by now? Quote The best is yet to come...
couldawouldashoulda Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:36 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:36 PM Why do people (including Céline) refer to Brooklyn as an independent city when talking about this tour? Isn’t it fully integrated in New York City by now? Brooklyn is one of the 5 boroughs if NYC. NYC consists of Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island. It’s always been this way. Many people from outside of NYC refer to Manhattan as NYC and name the outside boroughs. People in Manhattan do the same thing. It’s also always been this way. Quote

Isn’t it fully integrated in New York City by now? New York City is so massive and consists of 5 boroughs: Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. It's much more identifiable to say the borough rather than NYC. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dQ1vYVz.jpgMais qui peut dire, qu’il peut vivre sans amour, qui?
Xpresso Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:39 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 08:39 PM (edited) Why do people get upset if she cancels 24 hours before a show? When you get sick, do you know 48 or 72 hours before or after that it will hit you or be gone?If that's how your body works, you should go see some special researchers. Hope she feels better soon! It's much more identifiable to say the borough rather than NYC. I do get that it’s more identifiable for the people in New York but when talking about a world tour I feel they should say New York City (useless argument though). Why don’t they also say that Céline had a residency in Paradise then? Quote The best is yet to come...
AdrienneM Posted October 3, 2019 at 09:04 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 09:04 PM I mean hasnt she always done Italian stops on her world tours except for LTAL? Didnt she do Milano on both the FIY and TCWT tours? 1 Quote
noyau Posted October 3, 2019 at 09:10 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 09:10 PM It’s incredible because I had this awful nightmare last night where she cancelled all of her shows until July the 30th... When I woke up I was relieved that it was just a nightmare and then I learnt the sad news (for her and her fans). The video is really touching and I just want to hug her 1 Quote ***I speak French, sorry for my mistakes in English. Del Posted October 3, 2019 at 11:00 PM Posted October 3, 2019 at 11:00 PM How unfortunate she had to cancel 2 more shows. You could clearly see in the video that she could have cried knowing she had disappointed the fans going to the show. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk 1 Quote Instagram: @delphis78

Angel2006 Posted October 4, 2019 at 12:11 AM Posted October 4, 2019 at 12:11 AM I always thought that Celine went into complete vocal rest when suffering from these viruses, with zero talking. I am surprised she made this video and talked so much. I understand that she wanted to properly portray her disappointment and sadness about all this to her fans, but I'm just surprised she didn't do a written statement as per usual. Anyways. I am sad to see her obvious disappointment and sadness in her face and I hope she gets better soon, because I hate it when our Queen is sick. 1 Quote

scielle Posted October 4, 2019 at 12:44 AM Posted October 4, 2019 at 12:44 AM I always thought that Celine went into complete vocal rest when suffering from these viruses, with zero talking. I don't think she does that anymore since becoming a mum. Certainly not since she's a single mum. Much as this is a huge disappointment and probably a monetary loss for many of us (I traveled to Montreal for the Sept 26 & 27th shows, and won't be able to go back in Nov), I much more sad for her....It must be so incredibly stressful to deal with this. Most of us get sick and it affects a handful of people who maybe have to fill in for us at work and get slightly annoyed. When she's sick, thousands (in this case probably about 100,000+ people) are seriously inconvenienced. It's a lot to deal with, on top of running a massive entertainment empire. That's why she gets paid the big bucks. I can't imagine dealing with that kind of pressure and expectation all the time.If there's one thing that inspires me most about her, its the unbelievable ability to deal with all the pressure without a mental breakdown. 7 Quote

Jeanette Posted October 4, 2019 at 08:00 AM Posted October 4, 2019 at 08:00 AM (edited) I feel for Celine and the fans who were attending these Montreal shows. I gotta say though her speaking voice sounded ok, just wondering if it would’ve made more sense to push through these 2 shows, and then have her 10 days off or whatever it is. I get that she and her doctors know what’s best for her but I do worry that delaying things will only take her longer to get her voice into shape. I hope this is just a blip in the road at the start of this tour and that everything else pretty much runs smoothly going forward, although with her crazy crazy schedule, I do worry! Get well soon Celine xx Edited October 4, 2019 at 08:04 AM by Jeanette 1 Quote
