scielle Posted November 29, 2018 at 12:35 AM Posted November 29, 2018 at 12:35 AM But it's controversial! And this type of controversy is good for her!! :w00t: (Ironic mood off ) Irony off? Why? I think this has been absolutely great for her image. I personally was far more turned off by her selling perfume and handbags with her name slapped on them, than I could ever be by this. I think it's awesome to see her actually believe something, stand by it, do something different / interesting / offbeat / creative. So whatever respect she may have lost from me over the handbags, she certainly won back with this. 3 Quote
scielle Posted November 29, 2018 at 12:47 AM Posted November 29, 2018 at 12:47 AM Exactly. And the ones who are complaining are probably also the same people who flooded social media when Céline allegedly refused to perform at Trump's inauguration and when she allegedly said she hated living in America (all Fake News, pun intended). "She" [her career] got over that and it will easily get over this.Don't forget when she burned the US flag as well! And let's not forget the scandalous Le Ballet dance that got a bunch of people rattled! 1 Quote

But I must say, this project is so badly timed. She’s getting a lot of bad PR....sensational claims of course. Demonic, Illuminati, Satanic...this is the worst possible timing since she’s due to release her next English language album next year. Google ‘Celine Dion News’ it’s full of this, her publicist needs to release a status or she needs to do a follow up interview...this is not being viewed positively. The message is getting lost. This should have waited until after the album, this is not the time to alienate potential fans and supporters. As a fan, I’m feeling a little disheartened reading all this stuff. gafsa Posted November 29, 2018 at 08:17 AM Posted November 29, 2018 at 08:17 AM (edited) It makes me like a broken record, but I'll say it again, skull and black color is not new for kids or baby, it's not revolutioner. And although all celinununu is only black and white, is doesn't mean you have to buy all the clothes and dress your kids with celinununu, just like when you wear a pair of dress from Zara or H&M, it doesn't mean you have to or you wear only zara, we choose what we like from every brand. Just becauase you don't like zara it doesn't mean you have to burn down the store. It's only an option. If you don't like the design or the price, it's mean it's not for you. You can go to other store or brand. Edited November 29, 2018 at 08:33 AM by gafsa 2 Quote

And it's not about music. Seriously complaining about skulls, while the most mainstream shops like H&M and Zara had them for years on kids clothes.Shops where the average world would buy kids clothes. And you won't hear a thing about that. There really is nothing dark and negative about these clothes. Adults wear black so do kids what's the problem? You may not like the designs but it's way better than what most people are wearing these days. Just blend in with the crowd that good enough. And about the pictures. Do you really don't understand the meaning of a concept, a brand? They want to make a statement with their pictures and it works. If they now all of the sudden post pictures of confetti and dancing smiling kids it won't be the same. Have you ever seen kids advertising from Zara? They all portrait as 'adults' but it's just the brand the concept. Some of you really look way tooo much into these things. It's just clothes, and SHE loves it. And Mariah Carey is everywhere with positive reviews and some great publicity...and Celine is almost being ridiculed. THIS. Not a fan of Mariah, but she's doing her thing which is SING and releasing NEW MUSIC and she's getting great reviews so far. I was at my local music store yesterday evening and I couldn't help feeling jeaulous of her fans when I saw dozens of copies of her new album in the shelves. What's going on with Céline now, and for the last 6 years in English music? She is desigining handbags and obscure clothing for children and everyone is asking where.is.the.new.music and what the hell she's doing sponsoring such horrible clothes And the designs aren't particularly good. Very dark, cold and completely the opposite to what I expected. Nobody is going to dress their children in such dark and negative clothing. She could have done this whole gender neutral thing so much better, the issue essentially starts with the designs. Can you be more delusional you? How many more negative press do you want to see about it? Have you ever seen such hail of bad critics raining on her in the last 15 years??? Because I've never seen such bad press on her since 2005 with the Live 8 event when she decided to participate via satellite from her Vegas show and she was booed for not being present on the stage with the rest of artists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-ERii-XHuw What else do you want? It's already hurting her image dear. The press, the critics and the comments are more negative than the positive. Is that something to be proud for you or flattering and good for her image at any level, according to you? We'll see in the mid-term how this affects her image when she releases the new album, but one thing is for sure now: when she promotes the next album, most reporters are definitely going to bring this up and remind her about this and she'll have to deal with it, and maybe not in the best and nicest way. I honestly think that alot of you like to complain and be negative just because the majority is negative about it. And it's not about music. It’s about parents not pushing societal norms on them and forcing them to be what the world believes they should be. Rather, dress them in a neutral way which would allow for them to later make the choice of who they feel they are, without having gender norms forced upon them and being told who they have to be.
