Celine definitely needs a proper manager. Her career cannot go like this. It’s just a shame.

Problem is the guys she does like are useless.

Sounds like Celine likes “yes men” …. Rene being the exception for obvious reasons. I guess when you’ve reached legend status, you don’t need to listen to anyone but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t, especially to grow your in profession.

 

I remember Celine said something after Rene passed along the lines of her career was his baby in a sense and to leave it unfinished would have hurt him. I bet this isn’t what he had in mind, even with SPS.

 

I think it’s evident that Rene is the one who loved the show business and fans more… Rene is the one who pushed her to be the “open book”, and Rene is the one who pushed out projects with the mindset of feed the fans while they are willing to consume.

I know it’s not a popular opinion but the buck stops with Celine. I blame her as well because if she cared enough to give us the fans more of the stuff in the vault for example then we’d have it. And nobody come at me with the whole illness and SPS stuff, yes I know she has it and I know it’s terrible and that’s where she should focus her energy but pre SPS it was the same, so we can’t blame the illness for it.

 

We are the most used and abused fan base lol….

 

If they offer one more Valentine’s Day heart of the ocean plastic necklace or another album with the same 12 songs, one more time…

The reality is, when it comes to new music and / or albums there’s no money in it for Celine or Sony these days. Thats why the focus is on touring and residencies. That’s where the money is. Cold hard facts I’m afraid.

 

If there was money to be made from albums, like there was in the 90s, I’m sure we’d get new albums every year. Just like the 90s.

 

I would very much love to believe (and want to believe!) that they’d release new stuff or rare stuff just because the fans “deserve” it or whatever but they (Sony etc) don’t care because…….there’s no money to be made there anymoooooore.

If there was money to be made from albums, like there was in the 90s, I’m sure we’d get new albums every year. Just like the 90s.

Yes but it doesn’t cost them a loss to release new songs on an album they already releasing anyhow.

Her label is a branch of Sony.

 

Alicia Keys, who also signed by one of the Sony’s branches and is also not a big seller, released 5 albums from the same tour, each one in a different city, plus anniversary albums with extras and bsides album and special concert.

For Britney, do you think she has the go signal to release those unreleased songs given the fact that she was not in a great condition around that time. You know what I mean.

 

So does this mean it’s all Sony if they wanted to rereleased some albums or release an unreleased songs

I remember watching an interview of him where he explained that he was constantly travelling and his family was suffering from that, so he decided to prioritise his family I believe.

Apparently the decision came from Aldo himself and his wife Melanie for their children. Celine was of course very comprehensive. It could also might be the version told to the media if there has been a drama within the team that couldn’t be revealed to the public eye

She was everywhere!! Presenting awards, red carpets, interviews, social media presence.

Giving us Winter Song instead of her usual holiday message etc.

 

He even asked me in Vegas who of the young men artists I would love to see her make a duet with.

 

Since he been gone all of that went downhill very quickly.

I know that with albums that's not where the money is.

But how come other artists (example Mariah) do decent re-releases?

And would it really hurt to just put out a live album? Or some of her concerts on YouTube or streaming?

And what about a EP, some newer artists only do stuff online.

I’m guessing the picture was either taken with a filter or a filter was added in post. :)

Okay, since when do they start using tiktok for these kind of videos?

Here hoping they definitely have a new social media manager. But most of times it's a 3 week thing before a silence of months again.
