Has anyone seen the performance of The Reason on the Royal Variety Show in 1997? I've been trying to find it and have had no luck. Also, anyone know if it was live or not?

at the start of the song Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une, the whispering are those words in english or french and what are they saying? to me it sounds like part of it is why don't you lay down and die....I could be TOTALLY wrong but it sounds like english to me....

I guess we could ask the french community if they hear french words... I mean when you hear things you don't understand its human nature to make sense out of them. So, as non french speakers, if its hard to make-out words, its natural that we think they could be english. But since it's a french song written by a french woman with allusions to a french poet, it probably is french.

when the song starts i hear sth like "why dont u.."-maybe thats wrong...- but the next words i'm pretty sure there are in French ... i cant tell what they're saying coz my french aren't good enough ...

I knew some of it was english but I could barely understand any of the words. I tried looing for lyrics but they don't put that part in the lyrics...

I think the first line is "Why don't you say your mind?" And the part with "die" maybe it's: "Why don't you live in time" or "Why don't you live and die??"
