celine4evauk Posted June 14, 2009 at 04:07 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 04:07 PM Ok so funnnnny story. I have a friend who is in the Peace Corps in rural Ecuador and he had to go to a community thing honoring the local mothers or something where they crown the ultimate mom from the community or something and he said they started playing an instrumental version of My Heart Will Go On as the winning mom was crowned! I told him I was so very proud Céline had infiltrated her way into the mountains of an Ecuadorian village, even if it was remotely through MHWGO hahahaha. I had a similar experience when I was in Fiji last year...we stayed with a family on this tiny island that only had electricity for like 2 hours at night and so at dinner they would plug in their boombox and one of the few cds they had was Celine's! I loved it A guy i work with took his girlfriend out to dinner on Valentine's Day and he said the whole evening the restaurant played Celine's music!!
SensationalCeline Posted June 14, 2009 at 04:23 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 04:23 PM That must have been romantic............ http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg
angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 06:35 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 06:35 PM is this photo new to anyone but me? I found it on bing.com I think it is soo adorable, its from Sur Les Plaines, you can tell from Celine's outfit. http://i39.tinypic.com/2ip2r8.jpg I bet you all are NOT going to agree with me on this but I was watching THS on E! and there was a clip of Karine (Celine's nice) and I thought that she and René-Charles sometimes look similar. Not when Karine was a teenager but younger maybe 5-9 years old. I didn´t think that all the time, but certain facial expression were very similar.
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 06:48 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 06:48 PM IDK I've only saw a couple photo's of Karine (as a baby and toddler age) ever so I can't really compare since I don't know what she looked like as a young child. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
ladylindsey Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:06 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:06 PM I've often seen a huge resemblance between Céline when she was a little girl with long curly brown hair and RC hehe. So cute.
angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:12 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:12 PM yeah I guess there is the real resemblance Karine and Celine and then RC and Celine.. I think RC is looking more like René's side of the family
SensationalCeline Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:25 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:25 PM My mom said he doesn't look like Celine or Rene........... http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg
angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:32 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 07:32 PM Ohh I got a question. I´m on holiday so I´ve got nothing to do Ok while watching the AND DVD, just before Celine enters the stage for the first time that evening, Michel is holding her arm (night vision camera) and Celine whispers something to him and Michel sais "be nice" to her. I´ve been wondering what she said .. we will never find out but I´ve been wondering.. Was it Can't believe I agreed on having a camera follow me tonight I can´t stand all those fans out there who don´t dress up for the show Or something totally different
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:09 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:09 PM (edited) I had no idea that Michel says anything, I couldn't hear it. I haven't watched the dvd in a while I'll have to check that out next time I watch it. Are you one hundred percent sure that's what he says? I could be something different. Does the close caption pick it up? Maybe you can put that on and figure it out. ok so I just watched this several times, Michel isn't the one who says anything. I believe its the camra guy or a stage hand that you can't see. Becaus when she gets onto the lift thing or whatever to go out on stage the same person says have a good show and its not Michel. I can't tell whate Celine says because the mics don't pick it up, whatever it was she didn't say it loud enough because the only thing the subtitles picked up was the same person saying be nice and have a good show. SensationalCeline Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:17 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:17 PM Yes, that's what he says because at first he starts to laugh and then he say be nice and she makes some kind of face at him. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:20 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:20 PM (edited) no its not the voice comes from behind the camera, I've watched it four times now. also Michel is laughing when the man says be nice so it can't be Michel talking, and the same guy says have a great show. Michel isn't talking loud enough for the subtitles to pick it up, the only thing I get him saying is perfect ok. when he checks Celine's sleeve and then you can hear him laugh but thats all. Its also a very deep voice that talks, Michel's voice isn't that deep. Just watch it again, and look when Be Nice is said, Michel is laughing. Just to make sure I did see and hear it right I've watched that part atleast a dozen times now and its definetly not Michael saying be nice. Haven't seen that part of the show for ages - but while reading the last few messages i though perhaps Michel said Bon Chance - but maybe not!! I'll have to watch it sometime soon.
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:27 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:27 PM ok I'm a little confused, I know this isn't not the final show dvd so why does Celine tell RC its her last show tonight? “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:37 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:37 PM (edited) I was watching some of the dvd with subtitles on and happen to catch Celine saying her Eustachian tubes were I guess acting up she said woo but anyway I looked them up and the I guess sound guy asked if the tubes were popping and this is what I found. Some people are born with the ability to contract just these muscles voluntarily, similar to people who can wiggle their ears. Those who have this ability can hear "pop" or "click" sound in the middle ear when actuating these muscles, and are able to hold the muscle contraction (some refer to this as 'clicking your ears to equalize the pressure').Doing so will make one's voice sound louder to oneself. This ability allows such people to voluntarily equalize pressures at will when making rapid ascents or descents, typically in aircraft flights or large elevation changes in either tall buildings or mountainous treks. When the breath (inhale or exhale) is controlled, air pressure can be intentionally increased or decreased in the middle ear (breathing through the nose only or mouth), where the feeling of a cool air breeze can be felt inside the eustachian tube. So I wonder if Celine can do that? Edited June 14, 2009 at 08:37 PM by Belle Céline “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Peppercorn1991 Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:39 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:39 PM ok I'm a little confused, I know this isn't not the final show dvd so why does Celine tell RC its her last show tonight? i think it is because it was the last night before she had a month off. She says in the car at the begining to Rene, a month off, ive got the oscar, the photoshoot, the recording, a month off i dont think so. i think that is what she says. i think she means the last night before a month off. hope u understand lol kevin
angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:40 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:40 PM ohhh ok thanx:) I was sure it was Michel saying those things But wonder why Celine made that face at him. Maybe someone was smelling badly since Michel keeps smelling Celine She sais "it´s the last show" because it´s the last show for a while.. They had been performing for 2 weeks in a row and now they get a long weekend. You can hear some dancers talking about it in the middle of the DVD.

I know I saw in the back ground in the house a poster that said Happy Birthday Rene Charles, so it made me wonder if it was Jan of 07 or around that time? ohhh ok thanx:) I was sure it was Michel saying those things But wonder why Celine made that face at him. Probably just made a face at whatever she said, smelling her? I didn't see anything that looked like he was sniffing her. it looks like he was checking her outfit and mic's and things to make sure they were right before she went on stage. angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:56 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 08:56 PM ohhh I never noticed the Happy Birthday poster, now I have to watch it again.. not that I don´t mind haha It was taped in February I think I read somewhere. I wish there could be a documentary about Celine and René, and their life. But then i was thinking that it would maybe become like a reality show, and I don´t want that. I just want more of their personal life. I know many think we should stay out of their personal life, but Celine herself is so open about her life so I think it´s just normal that we begin to crave more..
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:17 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:17 PM I think a reality show would be neat and Celine and Rene could have a contract that says what they would and wouldn't allow to be filmed and be on the show Not that they would do a reality show but its a nice thought. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:18 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:18 PM does anyone have the special edition of Sur Les Plaines? And could scan the other photo's that are in it? “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png

Claudette Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:28 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:28 PM I was watching some of the dvd with subtitles on and happen to catch Celine saying her Eustachian tubes were I guess acting up she said woo but anyway I looked them up and the I guess sound guy asked if the tubes were popping and this is what I found. So I wonder if Celine can do that? I don't know, maybe. But I think she meant that her Eustachian tubes were blocked. That is common if you suffer from allergies and sinusitis (like Celine). Blockage of the Eustachian tubes leads to unequal air pressure on either side of your eardrum, which makes your ear feel ''full'. It can also cause some pain. Sometimes if you move your jaw a certain way you equalize the preassure in your ear, which causes a popping sound. Celine once had Labyrinthitis, which is also sometimes caused by sinusitis and allergies, so it is possible that she often has this problem. By the way, Labyrinthitis is HORRIBLE. It feels like you are dying... I would never wish it upon anyone. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

whineupemily Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:42 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:42 PM This is probably a stupid question but -Did Celine ever graduate from High School?
angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:50 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 10:50 PM she looks so good in those photos. Should René be worried about Garou and Céline just kidding. But they look very intimate in the picture
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 11:06 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 11:06 PM I dont think she has graduated Emily, in For Keeps and My Story My Dream she said she dropped out during middle school. It said Rene was supposed to help tutor her and follow the Quebec board of education program but it never says she finished school or earned a high school degree. As far as I know she hasn't to this day offically graduated from high school. I've never read anything where Celine has said she has, I could be wrong though. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
angelil78 Posted June 14, 2009 at 11:08 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 11:08 PM You are not wrong. She quit school and hasn´t regretted it. She thinks education is important but for her, she had a different goal. Think she was 14 when she quit school
Belle Céline Posted June 14, 2009 at 11:09 PM Posted June 14, 2009 at 11:09 PM ok thats what I thought, I was pretty certain she just quit. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png

She thinks education is important but for her, she had a different goal. Think she was 14 when she quit school She has no regret it's true, she didn't fit in and she had different goal it's also true. But she thinks and said recently that it worked against her in a way at the beginning of her carreer at least. She feels she didn't have the tools to defend herself so she was always afraid to answer all those question. When she was 15 years old and already performing, she didn't know what to say to her public exactly. She talks about that in the interview "À coeur ouvert" that aired on TV5 not long ago with D. Bombardier. I also know that she encourages RC a lot with school which is good and that she's glad he likes it a lot and he's doing so well. It's well-known that there is a lot of people who didn't like school and weren't that good and went and achieved wonders in their carreer. Each their destiny...
