Aha! I have been at my parents' house for a few days and since I couldn't find the quote from Celine I loved as a kid, I decided to look on some random VHS tapes of recordings I had made back then, because I knew I had had to stop and pause and rewind to write the quote down years ago On the last tape I found it! It was from 1998/1999 during the LTAL tour, when Celine was on an episode of MTV's FANatic. She told the girl who was interviewing her this, which I just love :

 

"I want you to keep dreaming even if everybody says the opposite and says, 'oh forget about this, it won't happen.' I want you to keep dreaming about what you want to do in your life. It's your life. You need the support of a lot of people, but you can be strong enough to make it on your own. Be strong and keep dreaming about it."- Celine

Thanks, but i remember that Celine once said that they are suppose to be distanced cousins, but then she said she's not sure. I personally think it's not true because Celine and madonna are the two biggest selling female artiste.

Is that it? When Charice came on the stage, it wasn't at Ceasars Palace. Maybe it isn't all one concert, but multiple performances shot previously and put into one show?? I've seen that BYLM but I am curious if that is from the one DVD Claudette was talking about.

 

JUST KIDDING!!! I just watched the very tail end of it - I never listen to that part when it is on my iPod, and that is the stage Charice performed on. Thanks so much! I guess I had already seen it without knowing!

it's because Celine was absent from that show (the David Foster Show). So they just put up a video of Celine perfoming BYLM with david foster at Ceasars Palace on the LCD screen. That's why u see Charice is on another stage which different with Celine. I know that because i had bought the DVD. The whole show is great!

Just a little sad Celine wasn't there joining the show...

ok so two mp3's questions, I downloaded the TC tour mp3's from New York but its a mans mans mans world has some kind of weird buzzing about 30 or 40 seconds into it and I was wondering if there is another verison of that mp3 from somewhere else that is good quality and if there is an mp3 of Celine singing thats just the woman in me on the TC tour. If so can someone point me in the direction of them? Thanks! I really really want these songs so any help would be great!!

And she said in a few interviews that she was trying to have an edgier, more Janis Joplin like effect. She said that's what the album was about, taking chances with her voice and seeing how they turn out.

 

I just wish she would have done that for more songs!

I felt it was weird hearing her raspy voice. I´m not sure I liked it.

Interesting fact, I was watching this show that aired on one of the news channels cnbc, but I've saw this show before. It's called the Oprah Effect and this woman decided she was going to follow Oprah's advice, buy all the books, products, live the way Oprah said etc and she bought Celine Dion tickets because Oprah said "if we have never seen Celine Dion in concert you must." I drive a fiat punto and i would like to have a camero or mustang bit of a big difference to my little punto dont laugh.

I heard her say somewhere that one of the things she liked about or was going to like about her break after LTAL was driving her own car instead of having someone drive her around all the time. So I think she can but rarely does anymore. Maybe she can now

I'm sure she does drive, she mentioned in an article once I believe it was in Ladies Home Journal, during the Chysler promo stuff that she did drive but Rene insisted that he was the better driver of the two. She has also mentioned numerous times that she wanted to drive RC to school. Of course we all know he will probably never go to a regular school, he will probably have a tutor a couple times a week like he does now.

 

P.S. my dream car is Chrysler Crossfire Roadster! In red! and at the moment I don't have a car, I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I don't even have a drivers license. I went to get mine and they turned down my proof of address saying it was to "old." and my learners expired the same day and I just never went back yet....

eh I'm planning on getting my license this summer anyway. Hey I'm not the only person who doesn't have drivers license. My brothers 28 year old girlfriend has never had one either, and most of my friends didn't theirs till well after high school either. I don't care if people know I don't have a drivers license, it's not like I'll ever met anyone I talk to online. I want to get mine but I keep having issues with the dmv because they never want to take my proof of address, they want stuff I can't get without a drivers license, so how the heck do they expect me to get the stuff if I can't get a drivers license?

Ok so funnnnny story. I have a friend who is in the Peace Corps in rural Ecuador and he had to go to a community thing honoring the local mothers or something where they crown the ultimate mom from the community or something and he said they started playing an instrumental version of My Heart Will Go On as the winning mom was crowned! I told him I was so very proud Céline had infiltrated her way into the mountains of an Ecuadorian village, even if it was remotely through MHWGO hahahaha.
