thanks davey that explained alot.......wow i never realised about this show......her two performances were stunning
id love to see the RIFOY thats my fav soung off the new day album....shame its play back......she must of had alot of work done on her voice for that track then lol

I was there! Yayy. It was in the Centre Bell. I don't speak any french so the guy next to me explained what was going on with the panel. It's like a game show where they have to guess the song first. It was funny because some of the time Celine couldn't even figure it out herself. I'm pretty sure all of the songs were lipped. Although I didn't notice at the time..but now watching back I'm like :doh: Fooled again. Lol. That was the show were Marilou was discovered by Rene for singing a cover of Celine's first song. There was a whole montage of people covering her songs and they were all very good, but Marilou was so little at the time...and it was like OMG this girl can sing. Anyway, Celine was being cute on commercial breaks, she was trying to cheat and get the audiences help, she was wearing her hockey shirt getting people to root for the Canadieans....I don't really remember much else, but I was in heaven. Oh and in the beginning they were trying to figure out who came the furthest to see Celine and I was all excited because coming from NJ I thought I traveled far lol...there was someone from like China or something. Hah, thats before I knew of the forum and didn't realize there were other Celine crazies like me lol. Ah, thats the trip I fell in love with Montreal. Siiiigghh memories. Lol. Hmmm I have some of my personal photos somewhere....

can someone tell me if the photo in Lissie's sig is a fan photo or professional photo? If it is a pro photo (can someone post the original) and is it in the MN topic? I can't get my internet to load well tonight and it took me twenty minutes just to get to this topic. :flowers:

UGH does anyone remember how the quote from Céline goes where she talks about "keep dreaming" even if everyone says no you can't do that, keep dreaming blah blah blah? I had that quote going around the border of my room when I was a kid and now I can't remember or find it online... :hmm:

Hi all,
I recently got ahold of the Live in Memphis VHS show, and gosh, it was worth it!! Somebody reviewed it on Amazon and said that every Celine fan should have it in their collection. I totally agree!! My favorite part of all was when she performed "Lle Ballet" and featured her band members, letting them shine a little. It turned into a "jam session" and Celine made her voice mimic the sounds of the instruments. You could really tell they were all having a blast!

As we all know, Celine's voice is splendid and undeniablly awesome. But we don't often get treated to spontaneous moments like I've described above. It seems that it makes her (and her staff) feel secure to do things exactly the same way most of the time. Lately, she seems very secure in herself, more than ever before. I wonder when and how you think we might get to see more spontaniety in her live shows? What conditions might cause this? I'm not trying to make anyone upset here, I just want to get your thoughts and know what you think.

Yes this concert is totally worth it!! It was the first concert I saw from Céline, back in 1998 and that's probably when I fell for her for good.. I've too watched it over and over again, I found Céline so funny on the concert, and that's when I first discovered many things about her as she herself was talking about them between the songs. I loved the presentation of the band members too and her making the sounds of their instruments. :laugh: It's my favourite concert of her's (that I've seen on dvd, cause obviously Taking Chances concert is my ultimate favourite! ). :wub:

So I just played through some of the older stuff and "Where Does My Heart Beat Now?" gave me chills and I'm thinking how amazing after 18 years of listening to Céline, she still gives me unexpected chills when she sings.

I agree it's an amazing feeling.. I experience that too every now and then, just recently this happened with I Surrender, as I was listening to it after not having heard it for a while, and it too gave me chills, her voice is so magnificent on that song..

I looved the performance of A New Day Has Come!! Recently I've again been missing Céline and the tour a lot, and this again made me want to go back to last summer.. :cry: Only that she didn't sing A New Day Has Come in Helsinki, which was the only thing I really missed during the show, but mostly it's this performance of her's, so pure and so very live, that made me want to go back to that concert day again.. Gorgeous. :cry: :wub:

In the 90's succeeding meant everything to them, so I think she was under much more pressure then. Now, I think she is just enjoying the ride. I also think that although the TC tour was sometimes physically demanding for her, she enjoyed it a lot.

:flowers: Thanks Thomas, those are some pretty pictures she took. I wish I'd be able to take a camera but I left it in the car because my niece had been to the venue at concerts before and she said they will search your bags and take cameras and I didn't want my friend to risk getting her camera taken away permanently so we opted to leave it behind. Unforunately when we got there they DIDN'T search our bags! Ugh they just had me open my purse and the guy glanced inside and waved me through....grr all we managed to get were some photo's on our cellphone's and they turned out terrible, well most of them. The lighting was to bright for the lousy cellphone camera. :wallbash:

I just want to know about celine's song sorry for love which is made with 2 version. 1st version for A new Day Has come Album and 2003 version for One heart Album. The song written by Karadio Guardi ??? Did celine recording those song twice or just change the arrangement only ??? it is very exciting if there is a video recording of that song ... I did not mean that she was unhappy in the 90's. I just meant that she was under much more pressure back then. She must have been happy, otherwise she wouldn't have done everything she did. But I think that today she is much happier an she is taking a bit more time to take things in...

She fell at the end of TPOL in Montreal and she almost fell in Macau during the intro, but she managed to recover so it was more of a stumble.
