I'm enjoying all the social media traffic about Celine this AM in reference to Rev Curry's "power of love" address at the #RoyalWedding :)

 

Congrats to the new Duke & Duchess of Sussex, by the way!

 

One thing Rev Curry did good today haha.

 

Europe is not used to see someone like that haha and the royal family reaction was awesome.

 

Personally I was like "stop talking already"!!

The U.K. definitely aren’t used to seeing that 🤣🤣 I suppose that was the American side of the service 😂 lots of giggles all round tbh

haha yeah I think it was for sure the American side of the service. I really enjoyed watching the peoples reactions :sofunny:

Well, Rev Curry certainly stole the show (in a very good, refreshing way, IMHO).

 

And Celine's BFF Ben Mulroney had his moment as well (or rather, his kids did!) Especially in this (now viral) shot!

LOL yeah I saw that but I didn't see that as yawning but him getting overly excited.

Is anyone here fortunate enough to own falling into you on vinyl? Story of how you got it and when?

 

I splurged a bit maybe a year back on both tcoml and self titled album. I bought unison in a combo with 4 other albums i didnt have for a really good deal. Fiy on the other hand tends to be priced between 250-1000 from what I've generally seen.

 

The thing that makes me nervous about splurging on this is that last time celine released the four french albums on lp the first time the post stated, "stay tuned for the next batch of vinyl releases" ...perhaps andhc/tc/ltal/tast or one heart makes most sense as the next 4 because they have not yet been released....but if fiy is due for a re-relesse than the value suddenly goes down obviously.

 

I also want to say...ive bought now a LIVE vinyl for queen, aerosmith, def leppard, madonna, and i own en concert 1985. I love these concert vinyls. The sound is amazing. I would love one of these. My only fear is by time they autotune and edit it, the magic of analog and vinyl is gone....it would be the perfect way to give us songs from the last french tour, or even english ltal, a random show from the soundboard, anything....

 

If celine and team cant play into the newer way of hit making and domination then please play into the kind of market you do have for releasing and selling the types of rarities that raise eyebrows. I dont want another 3 cd boxswt wity fiy/andhc/ltal. I want vinyl and so do others. I want a boxset with a concert from a soundboard unreleased prior. Just saying!! Lol

Anyway if they were to rerelease FIY on vinyl or any other album as a matter of fact, I’m afraid all the French vinyls released so far have not been up to par with the quality of the printing and photos (most of them have blurred pictures taken/scanned but not from the original pictures) so the original FIY vinyl would still be better than the new version. It wouldn’t lose it’s value I think. Edited by Javito

Yeah, I donated money last year and they called the day after and told me they needed more!!! they should just be grateful that people do donate.

 

Then some other UN aid organization (can't remember which one) called my grandmother a few weeks ago and asked her if she would like to inherit them her money when she dies :o I was shocked!!! They are greedy and rude.

 

And I'm sad because I did like them. If I ever donate again for some reason (to any UN aid organization), it will be completely anonymous so they won't find me and beg me for more money.

Oh really :o ok so this is a general practice of them to call back. I donated through text message as well. I've done that a few times and they always call back.

 

I'm never rude to them and I always politely decline. They are just doing their job, the people that call us. It's just the organization that I don't like.

 

I will probably donate again for some cause because it's hard to stand by and not help when you can.

Did anyone else notice Celine's Twitter followers drop from 820,000 to 813,000? I'm hoping this is just because they clear out Twitter bots every now and again. Has anyone else noticed this with other artists recently though?

Twitter does remove inactive accounts as well as bots, so yeah, it's probably just that.

I would love love LOVE another vinyl release of a live album for celine.

 

As i have been expanding my vinyl collection lately for many artists i have interest in, i have found that in event when greatest hits albums aren't available for artists with 30+ year career, i have settled (and been happy with) live albums which often have many songs fron many albums.

 

I've been amazed at how some of these recordings from performances in 1973 on a radio station suddenly are restored to great enough quality for vinyl. Madonna and queen both had vinyls with performances from different nights all compiled on one vinyl. Neat concept.

 

My 1985 en concert vinyl of celine still sounds so clear when i put it on for a listen....i would love that same quality. I don't want the edited sound seen in anything after 1997 for vinyl.

 

Def leppard as part of a box set just released their first 4 studio albums on vinyl as well as a 1983 concert for the first time ever in its entirity, direct from the soundboard. Gives me hope for maybe a compilation of sorts different, unusual, and rare performances like madonna had on one of her live vinyls.

Arent L’Olympia, Live A Paris and Dix Ans Deja still available on vinyl ?

 

I remember seeing all 3 on ebay and none were more than $70
