I think that's the gesture she uses to cue her sound man to pump up or turn down the volume of her own mic feed in the ear monitor.

So, the comments below are absolutely no negatives to you.

 

Does anyone cringe (like I do) when watching this interview?

This mrs. Bombardier, I don’t know, but I feel really uncomfortable when I hear her asking these questions. these are deep digging questions, and yes, I am hearing things Céline never spoke about, or rarely speaks of. But the way these questions are asked, feels like Céline is having a shrink session.

Also, I feel like this lady interrupts Céline too often (and somehow I have that feeling that Céline is not happy with that).

And I have this feeling Céline doesn’t want to answer the questions, but somehow thinks she has to be polite to this lady.

 

But what I thought that was remarkable, was that in this part, she talks about the inversed roles between her and her mother. And that reminds me of... yes... Celle qui m’a tout appris. Song recorded in 2012. This video was recorded in 2008. So, did the songwriter got influenced by these phrases?

Denise bombardier is quite the legend in quebec and she ask what she wants to ask every time she wants. when you do an interview with her , you are aware of what is waiting for you beforehand. Celine responded the best she could without saying what she what didn't wanted to say.

I'd say that Denise Bombardier is the Barbara Walters of Quebec.She's now retired as an interviewer.Lots of people loved to hate her but loved her when she interviewed someone they didn't like and Bombardier confronted this person,especially politicians.However,they hated Bombardier even more when she wasn't complacent in an interview with someone they loved.

Personally,I never liked Denise Bombardier's personality,but I loved watching most of her interviews.These were never dull.

I was watching this video of Celine and Rene and at 14:04 Celine asks Rene a question , which I don't understand, and they like touch noses. What did she ask him? Could someone help me? Thanks

One mustn't forget that when René accepted that Céline be interviewed by Denise Bombardier,he knew he'd be there,ready to intervene if he didn't like certain questions.It wouldn't surprise me that it happened,but these questions were edited.

In Part 5 that I'm currently translating,we realize that Céline may be an open book but not THAT much.She explains how,despite appearances,she keeps many things secret.

 

Many people refused to be interviewed by Denise Bombardier and the general public thought that this person was a chicken or had something to hide.I'd accept to be interviewed by her if the questions were only about my album,my book or whatever.I wouldn't want to spread my private life or the flaws of my personality in public.
