Celine's pop culture currency is back to the levels of being spoofed on SNL.

Here's a sketch from last night's show about celebs auditioning for the live action Lion King :)

Really hoping one of these days they'll finally have her on as musical guest and pull her into a sketch or two. She'd be great! (And with a Canadian running SNL, it's kinda obligatory, no?! ;))

So how long until Celine goes and does something wacky with Eminem? :msn-wink: She certainly has shown a penchant for doing the unexpected lately... (And we know RC is a huge Eminem fan and she'd totally do something to impress him if an opportunity came up!)

 

A decade ago, I'd never think it possible. But these days, it seems Celine is totally game for anything (and :clapping: to that).

 

I mean, if it's good enough for Beyonce... just sayin'

It was a dress from the fashion design label The Blonds. It's actually a gold corset dress. :)

I don't have the picture, but it's the one where Celine is laying in the water at her Florida home. It was a part of the V Magazine photoshoot I believe. The one where she posed for all those sexy pictures. I know there was a topic created especially for it a few years back and you can probably find a picture of the dress in that topic. :)

It's a sad story again. It's about a friend of the group Café Quijano, that died too young (I think it was due to some disease or cancer, don't remember exactly the details), and the band members wonder and ask God why some good man has to leave this life so soon and undergo such suffering. Hence the title which means "Nobody understands it".

Yes he was accused. I think they arrested the couple for extortion.

Has anybody been to Saint Catherine Street in Montreal. Apparently there's a shop looks like a coffe shop that has a lot of pictures of Celine when she started her career and so on

I would say Her IG account it’s growing really hard (almost 1000k new followers a day) and she get’s the most likes there the Pic with the new Vegas dates is the most liked pic on her IG account I think they make it promo ready for her album... I always get excited when I get a notification from IG when she post a new pic

Think you’re right (I only have Insta and FB, no Twitter, so can’t say about the latter), as the pic from the recording is also on Insta, and not (yet) on FB.

I actually doubt it - I'm sure it's very common in show business, but Celine is in an unusual position- very protected since the time she was very young. First with her mother with her everywhere, and then Rene with her everywhere. - and when he wasn't, forming a cocoon of a team around her. Plus sexual harassment tends to be a power thing - done by those in power to those who are vulnerable. By the time she didn't have either or her mother or Rene with her all the time, she was pretty powerful herself.

 

Celine's said several times that Rene always protected her - I wonder if this is one thing he protected her against.

to see big macho man hockey players( Winninpeg have a pretty big and tough team) listening to Celine, it brings joy to my heart. It is not just for Women teams... :giggle:

I dreamt I had a meet and discussion with Céline. But, somehow she looked a bit like Dobby (Harry Potter), with bulging eyes, and no make up on, and extremely old. It was a bit scary. Even though she scared me, I wanted to sit in front of her, so I could understand everything clearly while reading her lips and face expressions. Somewhere in the middle of the discussion she left for a few minutes, to return with make up on, and looking more like the Céline I know. And I became more and more in awe.

And then in the end, I forgot my keys (or something like that) and returned, to meet her agsin, and she said ‘wait for me, I want to talk to you further’.

 

Very strange dream.

 

Also that in that same dream, I could get her vinyls from the 80s from the fridge, that was in the Celine store.
