sazzlepop123 Posted May 17, 2009 at 09:27 PM Posted May 17, 2009 at 09:27 PM Does anyone know what Celines Handicap is in Golf please? I have a feeling it is 20 something. In an interview a while ago she talks about golf and says what her handicap is. It may have been the parkinson interview or a Rosie Odonnell one. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c70/sarahlucy86/Celineandme12.jpg

Chula Posted May 18, 2009 at 02:44 AM Posted May 18, 2009 at 02:44 AM How many stages are there at Ceacar Palace? Will Celine, Cher, Bette and Elton share the same stage? If they do, is it a problem to set and remove items on stage every time one singer finishes the show?
Belle Céline Posted May 18, 2009 at 04:27 AM Posted May 18, 2009 at 04:27 AM Chula, what TC show is your avatar and sig from? I dont recall seeing it anywhere. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png

Yeah she did look CGI in that video, but that D'elles recording session look is certainly the closest real life version to it we'll see!
Snowhite Posted May 18, 2009 at 07:56 AM Posted May 18, 2009 at 07:56 AM I was wondering what is ''The Claw'' thing that she does at the Ceasar Palace little tour!!Does she imitate someone??Or is just a joke? This movement reminds me Jim Carey at Liar Liar film, cause he was always doing the same ,too. I really don't get it.why she does that?
QueenCeline Posted May 18, 2009 at 03:24 PM Posted May 18, 2009 at 03:24 PM Ok, so the "new" song posted on the forum a few weeks ago, the My Heart Will Go On "remix" thing with just her voice and a piano. Obviously, her singing was taken from the My Heart Will Go On track from a CD. Now, when getting rid of all the other instrumentals and stuff, I don't know how they do it, but how come sometimes you can hear parts of it? It sounds like screeching or something? How does one go about getting rid of the background music but keeping her voice? You may not understand what I am asking... Marc~~~~~~~~Taking Chances World TourSeptember 29, 2008December 16, 2008

I think it's hilarious.

Shall Posted May 19, 2009 at 07:48 AM Posted May 19, 2009 at 07:48 AM Do you guys know the origin of the lyrics: "Et s'il n'en reste qu'un, je serai celle-là !"? It was the last sentence of Victor Hugo's poem <Ultima verba>(the ultimate words), which is one from his poetry work <Les Chatiments> published in 1853. I found it by chance when I went over my literature courses. Enjoy it http://img015.photo.21cn.com/photos/album/20090407/m/F9F2592882544BCAD62C9F8B3B158FB8.jpg 从明天起, 做一个幸福的人. 喂马, 劈柴, 周游世界.从明天起, 关心粮食和蔬菜. 我有一所房子, 面朝大海, 春暖花开.

Isn't there something in this poem that addresses whether the Balmain dress looks better on Celine or Lindsay?

I think it can only be done when there's an instrumental version of the song (like with s'il ne restait qu'un and mhwgo) but I'm not sure. My guess is that there is software that makes the instrumental track cancel out the other instrumental track, leaving only the voice (again, I don't know). But for all the "a capella" songs so far, all of them have a bit of the "screeching" music in certain points.

Enjoy it WOW! that's interesting! THANK YOUUUU!!!!! Ultima Verba ... Last Word Dead is the human conscience, and exposedThe bloodstained tyrant's latest homicide:He does not mount his throne, but is astrideHis quarry and will be until deposed. He laughs with self-approval at his conquest; His eyes swim in the blood that he has shed:He mocks the living and he mocks the dead,And Death itself he makes to serve his interest. His allies are judges who hang honest menAnd priests who rob the crypts still hung with crepe:And the just tremble but cannot escapeAs the God that Judas sold is sold again. The servile cry, "Hail Ceasar!" 'midst our curses,"It was the Lord of Hosts annointed you!:"But their hosannahs do not ring as trueAs the gold coins that jingle in their purses. As long as this idiot on the throne shall reign,This bandit monarch that the Pope once blessed,And with a whip and sceptre did investAs Satan's minion in the guise of Charlesmagne; As long as he tears with his teeth, in the mire,Hope, virtue, religion and our country's fame,And drunken and horrible, vomits his shameOver our ancient glories and sacred fires; While the debasement of the nation growsTo the extent of worshipping this liar,While England and America conspireTo placate the tyrant by barring his foes-- I shall not yield! though the last leaf on the tree,Disowned by all, my spirit will not flag,Even if, like a beggar clothed in rags,I must go from door to door asking for entry. If the same desert where Christ endured his trialShould cast out the outcaste and enslave the slave,And vile and cowardly, the very graveShould deny its shelter to the exile -- I shall not yield! but calm and uncomplaining,My soul in mourning and the herd despising,From my brutal exile, I will kiss My country, my altar; my flag, liberty! For you, my noble comrades, I will liveTill the Republic shall our country unify; And what our enemies deride, I'll glorify,And will condemn whoever dares forgive. Under the cloak of ashes covering me,Mine shall be the voice that calls for truth; And while thy lackeys, Caesar, take thee to the Louvre,I'll point out the dungeon that awaits thee! Before traitors' bowed heads, mine I'll hold high,Indignant but serene, and loyal to allWho have been lost in battle or shall fall:My life's joy and strength, my monument of bronze. Your tempting shores shall not make me retreatFrom duty's path, and I shall raise my tentWhere sacrifice demands, and be contentTo live in exile but stand on my own feet! While he is there, surrender or resist,Oh France! Belovéd France! for you I'll weep,But far from you, my sweet land, I will keep,And from my parents' grave and those I once kissed. I accept this harsh exile unto the grave,Without stopping to think or bothering to learnWho deserted his post and should have stood firm,Who gave up his country his own life to save. If a thousand are left to meet that black challenge,Among those brave names will also be mine; And if to one hundred their number decline,I will be with them all wrongs to avenge. And if the hundred should dwindle to tenWho are willing their country still to defend,And would their lives give her misery to end,I will be found among those ten men. And should fate this honor to one man decree,That he should alone remain to fulfillHis duty with faith and a sovereign will,Know it now, tyrant, the last I will be.

AtitanicfanofCelineDion Posted May 21, 2009 at 12:34 AM Posted May 21, 2009 at 12:34 AM If you all have seen Notre Dame de Paris you would know that the song Vivre is in english Celine's live for the one i love. Do any of you know if Celine has sung that song the Vivre from Notre Dame de Paris and where could i find this. On vid or Mp3. Thank you "When you want it the most there's no easy way out, when you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt, don't give up on your faith, love comes to those who believe it, and thats the way it is." Guest Reuben Posted May 21, 2009 at 07:52 PM Posted May 21, 2009 at 07:52 PM Not sure if this is a common known thing, does anyone hear a very strong similarity in the opening of the chorus between "When I need you" and Leonard Cohens "Famous blue raincoat"? The melody in When I need you "When I need you, I just close my eyes and I'm with you, and all that I so want to give you, is only a heart beat away" and in Famous blue raincoat "Jane came by with a lock of your hair, she said that you gave it to her that night that you planned to go clear" is almost (if not) identical. The similarity is even more striking in Leo Sayers than Celines recording.

I know in For Keeps that Rene took Rene-Charles out golfing ( I think) and he ended up getting hurt somehow and Celine got really mad at Rene. She wanted to know how it happened and he just shrugged it off and said "All athlete's get hurt." and she was really pissed and replied "He not an athlete, he's 3" and they had a fight about it. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg
