ive been lead to belive for the past few years, Celine is the biggest selling female artist ever! and i agree, she is the best.

 

 

Looking on youtube people are now stating Maddona has sold 330million albums making her the biggest seller, they say celine is a fake.

 

All the TV programs of the tele carnt all be wrong can they? look at the comments on this youtube vid, ive also read that celine pays people to say these things.

 

 

can anybody set the record streight? this isnt the first time ive found comments like this but carnt remeber where ive seen them.

 

i hope somebody can clear this matter up, is celine the biggest seller or not?

Well unfortunately madonna is the biggest selling female artist especially when you count in her single sales which are about a staggering 85 million compared to celine's 45 million

in terms of album sales madonna's are at 185 million tops whereas celine's are at 170-175 million sold (i am not talking about shipments), and if the titanic soundtrack is counted as hers, her sales go up to 200-205 million albums (sony lately seems to be adding that to her sales, only reason why the total jumped suddenly so much in the last few years)

i don't think Madonna has outsold Celine in terms of album sales (even without the Titanic OST). Madonna doesn't even have one 30M selling album under her belt (well Celine had 2, and that's a record to beat), and Celine's success from 1993-2000 remains unrivaled.

Well that is your opinion and I wish it were true! But numbers are one thing and record companies inflating numbers for promotion is another. The biggest joke was when Mariah fans thought she sold about 180 million albums when she still is to pass the 150 million mark!!! And the bigger joke is Madonna selling 250 million albums! LOL! All those numbers are just inflated for the sake of an artist's promotion. When all is said and done, being the second best selling female entertainer of all time is something i am so proud of Celine for achieving! And if you consider the fact that Madonna is no real singer (in my book anyway), then Celine IS the best selling female SINGER of all time

To me, she is the best ever whether she sells 300 million albums or 10 million albums. Her voice is a gift and a wonderful instrument that only a few around the world can be even compared to!

I'm not the best person to speak to regarding cars, but in April 2005, we seen Celine arrive at the garage of the colosseum before a show, in either a black chrysler 300, or a black bentley ( I just know it had a huge grill on the front, and I'm nearly sure it had the chrysler badge, but I'm not 100% ) and it was accompanied by a second car (the same model) in silver, which had a few people I didn't recognise, it wasn't her security as they were in her car, and it wasn't any of her family..... Sorry going slightly off the car topic here!

we are all told that celine is the bigest selling felmale arist of all time and it's true acorrding to many many sources, but when you ask a professional musicians who is the felmale music power voice, the three name that would come up most often is Celine (of course), whitney houston, and mariah carey, you wouldnt hear madonna's name come up many time though. Celine's album sales are from the power of her voice and her ambition, but madonna's is because she got lucky and had more good songs.

As I watched - again - the "Let's talk about love"-sessions I discovered that while recording the track "Let's talk about love" there had been no flowers on the little table on the right. A little later you could see beautiful roses. As Celine is wearing the same wardrobe it must be the same day. So I ask myself: Did Rene send the the flowers, as he wasn't in the studio for this track? Or was it someone else?

I remember reading somewhere, that Celine likes to record with flowers, candles and a big rug in the studio, and most recording sessions through out the years all of the above are present....

I wonder if its a ritual of hers, or if she does wants to feel at home while recording?!?!

If Madonna was the biggest selling female artist, wouldn't people be spouting that all about when Madge is on tv shows and when she is promoting things? I don't ever recall hearing anyone say she was, except fans. People only count record sales from the soundscan era, I believe, which is like 1990 and on, all previous figures are guestimates. Celine's figures are from 1990 and on, and from what I'v read on Madonna's sales, they arn't above Celine's. Close, sure, but not above. Also, about inflating figures- I'm sure record companies have done that, but sheer numbers- if you add the 32 mil and 32 mil and 20 mil and blah blah you get around the 200m mark, not to mention all of Celine's albums aside from Miracle and One Heart have sold fairly well, and she's made quite a few.

Will we ever get all the rare songs and videos from Celine on original recording?

I hope so,

And then all songs like: Is nothing sacret, would I know, send me a lover, ziggy (english version), tout pres du bonhuer......

And the many more she sang, and were never released or were released on the albums from other artists?

 

And then the videos:

I'm waiting for the time they will go and put the Memphis concert on a dvd, or en concert from 1985 her first performance in the kodak theatre after her comeback in 2002 or all the other concerts and tv specials she has done in her career.

And ofcource all the other video's they didn't put on a dvd like: sous le vent, if there was any other way, one heart, tell him, immortality....and the many more.

 

Will we ever get a big box with all that kind of audio/video together?

And do we have to wait like another 20 years or will it happen sooner or will it maybe never happen?

I think this is very unlikely That would be amazing though! I'd love for a dvd collection with Celine's various performances on award shows, etc. I guess we will have to make our own from the downloads! might take some time.... hehe
