They were supposed to do a duet together?

I swear I read in an interview recently that she recalls they were supposed to do one. I can't remember if it was a French or English interview but it was recent. (like 3-5yrs.) If anyone remembers please feel free to jump in.

This is sooooo sad... I've always wished they woulda done a duet when they had the chance :(

I'm not sure about this - but I have a feeling it was the Access Hollywood video from the LMBTL release -- I think that's where she was talking about googling mickey mouse with the twins and coming up with . . . inappropriate results.

 

I *think* the gist of it was she saw one of these videos where they do a video that's half Whitney's version of Greatest Love of All and half Celine's version, and they call it a duet. And Celine was like, "Huh, I don't remember doing a duet with Whitney." :laugh: I don't think it was that there were plans for an actual duet. But that's just what I remember.

I know this is a random question, but has Celine ever met Richard Gere?

 

I was watching Pretty Woman tonight and it made me wonder if they have ever met? If they have, I would love to see a picture of the two of them together! :wub:

Just tired of lipping discussions. It should have its own topic just for that instead of ruining fun topics for others. I know people want/need to talk about it, but still. :( Also, did she end up doing anything for 9/11 as she did perform that night?

I'm watching Celine sing the telephone book to IWALY in the youtube thread and I was thinking how great that would have been for her to get that song! I love Whitney but I just imagine what it could have added to Celine's career. Of course with Whitney starring in the Bodyguard it was only natural for it to go to her. I just think it would have added so much to Celine's catalog.

 

Who knows, maybe Celine was up for the Bodyguard and she didn't get it. She was saying she had things in the works but they didn't pan out.

After a very long time, I started to re-discover the album 1 fille & 4 types from 2003 and I have to say that I'm in love with it. It's so easy going and light, and not as heavy as the other albums. I love the guitares and the drums, and the "summer/provence" feel.

 

It's a shame I don't understand French, but I would be so interested in seeing the making of the album and the contra nature video with English subtitles, and hear Celine's comments. If someone would enjoy to subtitle these videos, that would be really great :) :flowers:

 

What are your feelings about this album and this era?

I enjoy the album, for the same reason you do, it's light hearted and amazing. It was also the last one with JJG (:cry:). The only thing I didn't like all that much was the hair... The blond didn't go with her complexion! But, that's just my opinion.

I have a special request :-)

 

I'm looking for the original lyrics of "Le temps qui compte". When D'elles was released , it came out. It was quite a long text but somehow it has been shortened and cut.

 

I can't find it anymore :-(

David Foster has said he'd love to work with Sting. That would be some duet if he produced them!

I believe both are at 1.500.000 WORLDWIDE

LMBTL may be somewhere around 1.700.000.

Yeah! She definitely did a great job with the album. I wonder how these next two will fair. All I can say is Promo Tours, Promo overload, music videos, radio deals, new approaches.

Tyra has a new show called Fablife maybe just maybe...... :)

I would like Celine just to come on a show and chit chat longer then 2 minutes. Really just shoot the breeze. You know, talk about fashion or cooking ect.
