Quite a few of you on here were mentioning how Celine should be promoting her new single/album on the VMAs...well I'm sorry but I completely disagree. That award show has become a laughing stalk the past few years and tonight was just an absolute sh*t show. Celine is WAY to classy and dignified to be associated with the likes of white trash Miley Cyrus and others who performed on the show this year. It was essentially a mockery. I hope that either Celine never appears on there or that if she does the MTV really cleans the show up because it has been going down hill rather quickly.

 

After watching the VMAs I was like why did I want Celine here ...it's an embarrassment!!

The only good performance of the night was from a boy band who aren't together anymore ....and even that was way to short!!

Ugh I remember when the VMAs used to be good!!

Exactly! The RH posted something on twitter and I said not with that crap they call performing!! Complete rubbish!

I don't mean to be rude but when I first read some fans' wishes for Celine to promote / be on MTV Awards, I had a good laugh. I don't think the show's producers didn't even have Celine in mind to be on the show because..... wait for it.... because Celine is not in the demographic to the shows audience. Imagine Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, Selena Gomez, then Celine comes on. Even MTV's Video Vanguard Award went to Justin Timberlake.

 

The point is Celine is older now. She is past her prime. She had her moment. All too common I hear people say music has changed. Well, that is the reality. I mentioned before, Celine's place in music has changed too. She will hardly be played on radio, she won't be nominated for all awards, sales will be OK. She is older. Do I want the Celine who dominated as before? Sure, but that's not gonna happen. That's the reality.

Plus MTV never liked her. Even the times during her prime they did not attention to her until before her break when she made an appearance TRL and had a Diary thing with them that's it. MTV supports who they like and who cares all they play is reality television and that's it.

SpEaking of laughing stalk did you see when Justin Timberlake got an award for being a legend? Gosh he was right he did not deserve that award. I like Justin but he's not there yet.

I wonder if RC ever listens to his mom's music yet. Obviously he knows how popular she is all over the world, but now he's old enough now where he could start to appreciate what she has done.

OMG, really ? An award for being a legend ? Is it really an award show or maybe they mistaken for comedy show cos this show is good to laugh about.

 

I remember those days when i still like MTV, when A New Day Has Come era they have a quiz to win Celine albums but no one answered. I did answered by email but everytime i watched that show they always said no one answered. Dunno why.

 

And the VJ whos name is Mike Kasem always mocked her. I don't like when vj mocked an artist even if it's no Celine i never want to watch their show anymore.

In the States it was worse. In that ANDHC era she was hardly seen in that network. I guess it's the "uncool" factor that the industry made up about Celine.

 

I also hated when VJ's mocked her either. Infact the news personalities made fun of her. She just was never liked by MTV and now sadly VH1.

 

Yes Justin was awarded the Michael Jackson Vanguard award.

I'm biased because I play a musical instrument and I had to sing without pitch correction. And whether you liked 80's music or not you had to have some skill to play it live. Am I just too old? or is it "johnny bravo" everywhere? johnny bravo, Brady Bunch-look it up kids-If you fit the costume, you'll be a star.

Just heard Eminems new song and I couldn't help but laugh at the thought that right now while we are on a LMBTL buzz , Eminem is probably the song blasting in Celines house because of RC! Lol

Just heard Eminems new song and I couldn't help but laugh at the thought that right now while we are on a LMBTL buzz , Eminem is probably the song blasting in Celines house because of RC! Lol

 

And how it sound ? Usually i like Eminem song just the refrain part that someone else sung. I never really into rap thing.

it is quite good, creative... a lot happens in the song. My son bought the song :)

Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

I agree on first hearing of it I was like there is so much going on here but it's oddly catchy and today I found myself humming away to a mixture of LMBTL & Eminem! Lol

this was actually good. I like this mash up. Eminem is actually a good rapper when he is serious. He tells true stories that are worth listening to. When he is not then I can't listen to him.
