I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I see that Madonna will be releasing "Something To Remember" on vinyl soon. I surely wish, now that vinyl has been on a surge, that Sony would issue at least some of Celine's albums in this configuration.

I wonder why even when there is old product, they don't keep issuing collector's editions or reissue past singles. When I was in my country, I could go to any record store and see all of Madonna's CD singles available. Same goes for Barcelona, almost all of her singles catalogue is available for purchase. I totally believe that if Celine's catalogue was present in many record stores, a lot of people would buy it, and not just the super fan.

Going through Céline's early French albums, I see that "La voix du bon Dieu" appears on three albums: "La voix du bon Dieu" (1981), "Tellement j'ai d'amour..." (1982) and "Les oiseaux du bonheur" (1984). Can anybody tell me if they're different (i.e., re-recorded versions) or they're all the same song?

Thanks! :rah:

Does anyone know or have the backstage video of the making of the music video for 'Sous le vent'? I've seen it a long time ago on youtube but now i can't seem to find it.

As far as I know, there are different versions of the song (2 or 3) but, honestly, I can't really tell you what the difference is.

Sam Bailey sang "The Power Of Love" on the X Factor this Saturday. I think she did a pretty good job. It was 80s week and someone else sang "Alone" but it wasn't good IMO.

**************

Taking Chances, I hadn't seen that CD before, but I guess it's a better idea to ask on the collector's área, where there is a thread for questions, and the experts will answer them. :)

OMG "Just A Page Of My History" :roflmao:

I wonder if someone will be so terribly Misled in buying that.

Yeah Sam did a great job with TPOL. She's been my favourite since her first audition. Hope she's still in it in a few weeks - if Celine does appear on the show.

Taking Chances - i've always believed that cd to be fake. Saying that, i have it! Only bought it for the tracks at the end of cd 2, duets with Bryan Adams and Maurane.

Does anyone know if this CD is for real? To me it kind of look fanmade, but I could be wrong.

Also, the tracklist has "Just Another Page In My History".

This is real but is totally fake!! (or fanmade)

* If that's an official one, why on earth they added tracks she sang in Los Angeles in 1998 / France in 1996??? :hmm:

* The track "Just Another Page In My History" doesn't exist, because that's the lyric of Misled :P

Off the top of my head there are 2 versions: both are available on CD. The original version is available on "On ne change pas" and the 2nd version is available on all of the 80s compilations that have been released over the past 15 years, The main difference is the chorus used in the intro, whereas the other uses some sort of keyboard.

Just wondering if anyone has actually ordered/has the versatile Celine Dion water bottle. I'm kinda curious about it now that it's the favorite joke of the forum :)

I love it! I never got it, but I do have the amazing Christmas ball. Can't wait to hang it on the tree this year.

Wow! You have a lot of cool Celine stuff! The Christmas ornament is especially beautiful!

The funny thing is that I have the exact same purple pen, but with the name of a hotel on it. I guess they just use one of those companies that stamp your name on a pre-designed pen. :giggle:

Ok here's a really random coincidence, yall remember on Larry King she was talking about a book she really enjoyed. Many of yall thought it was a certain book, can't remember the name, about someone being in a coma?...................... and now..... the song LMBTL...."from the coma." I know, really random, yes! :giggle:

If Only It Were True, by Marc Levy. (That's the English translation of the book, which was originally Et Si C'Etait Vrai). It's about a girl who's in a coma, but her spirit leaves her body and falls in love with the guy who moves into her apartment. The guy, you know, loves her back to life. :)

I actually got it from the library and read it after it was mentioned here a few weeks ago. I thought it was an okay book. . kind of predictable and not exactly deep or complex (I thought it quite oversimplified a lot of interesting issues), and the characters felt too perfect and cardboard and not that realistic --- but it's a pleasant, comfort sort of read, and also a bit of a page-turner at times. (Haha, I do understand why Celine couldn't wait to stop singing to finish her book!) But beyond that, I wanted to like it so much more cause I know Celine loved it, but I didn't think it was that great. Oh, well . . . I don't think I'd like that vine leaves recipe, either. Guess I can't be Celine's clone! :)

Thanks! I knew we had talked about it but couldn't remember how long ago. Yeah, I agree about the recipie also. I'm not big on lamb, I have had it and I think leaves would be an acquired taste..........plus, not to mention it's a bit involved! :)

Noise pop/alternative duo Sleigh Bells sat down with Entertainment Weekly's Ray Rahman for an interview about their newly released album, and guitarist Derek Miller said something about Celine:

The song people might not expect me to love

DM: I will say that I’m an unironic fan of artists like Celine Dion. Like, “All By Myself”—that’s an incredible song. Any of her big hits, they move me in a way that’s very real and unironic. I’ve heard them my whole life, and I can appreciate them on many different levels.

There's a video here of Marc Dupre talking about Rene -- he's apparently telling a very funny story, but can anyone understand exactly what he's saying? I know he said Rene is very generous, and the interviewer asked if Rene had ever given them a bizarre gift, and he said yes and told a funny story about Schwartz's deli, but I couldn't understand what it was about!
