Okay, in another topic there was a post of how the Michel Jasmin interview has shown tour clips and a few of those involving the playback songs are drastically different from the playback version. Live versions are popping up now. Don't know if she sang live under the track and they possible recorded it, but here are some:

And I can't tell, but does IDAN sound different in this one (very beginning):

 

The ABM big note sounds to me like playback, and then she cuts in, where she normally does, live. But its obviously when she wasn't well. There's no way she could have hit that big note without her voice cracking. Autotune? If they did, i don't understand it, cos you can hear how her voice is after "the" note? IDK :shrug:

 

 

Idk. To me it sounded a lot different, and you know, when I say something is live then something must be going on because 99% of the time I'm the one saying things are lipped and no one agrees with me! Lol!

 

The very first 1/2 second to full second in the big note seem different. Right before the first tone change there is vibrato which is not on the playback. The ending was not smooth at all either.

 

It was different then the playback, but what about this: What is the possibility that the playback used on the tour is auto tuned, and this here in this video is the pre-auto tuned version?

Nope the whole note is live.

 

Tyler, it can't be because of that crack in the playback version. Where is the crack in the raw version then? I highly doubt they would edit the crack into the note. In my opinion the playback note and the one from the movie are completely different notes. But I think we should stop talking about this, because we are doing that thing again where the whole lipping thing pops up in every topic.

In the liner notes of The Colour Of My Love, Céline gives thanks to Anne-Marie for her input on "Everybody's Talkin' My Baby Down." Here are the exact words:

With all the excitement about the movie and the Grammys and Céline's appearance on Oprah, I am feeling the Céline love and I LURVE IT! I :heart: you all and looove this forum! I think that while everybody was looking down René, because he was much older than Céline, but they couldn't hide anymore their love, René's daughter Anne Marie was one of the few persons to support Céline and René since the very first moment :) And so the song "Everybody's Talking My Baby Down" is the story about that, isn't it great? :in_love:

Why the MHWGO live performance was cut off from the World Children's Day concert DVD??? :angry2: :angry2:

ok can someone point me in the direction of the topic with the scans of Celine from the hello magazine canada with the pics from the final TC tour party? Also I know these are from it but I don't remember seeing them...anyone have bigger or better quality?

lol I knew from the ad it was parfum ad I just didn't know where the photo was from. I figured it was an old photoshoot photo. I don't however see it in either topic....you wouldn't happen to know where I can find this photo without a tag on it?

I've been looking through the Autour Du Monde a lot lately and I've noticed that when there is a pic of René with out his sunglasses, he seems "absent", like his mind is somewhere else and he isn't looking into the camera

 

Like in the pic where they are at the Toy Store, sitting in the train.

 

I know he isn't blind since he reads papers but I was wondering if there is a reason for him wearing the sunglasses all the time, maybe he can't handle flash light or bright lights?

 

Have you guy's thought about this?

Maybe I'm going crazy, but TC appears to be live here. No obvious transition from live to playback. From the 2/16/08 show.

He's stayed at home with her godmother Linda and godfather Alain or(most probably) he was at the hôtel with both of them and watched his mom on the Grammys(maybe). :)

I'm pretty sure it's still there, right when she turns around. And she was fiddling with her mic pack thingy right before and just after it comes on.

It appears to have been for one of the DVD tapings and it is even better than the playback.

The reason why I at first thought that Pretoria performance was live was because someone mentioned in that video above that it was, and because the transition is not as painfully obvious as below.

 

I would say this is probably the most obvious transition from live vocals to playback of any song....even TPOL.

 

The bridge starts around 5:30, so start there to get a good feel of the live vocals. The transition should be obvious.

well I knew of most of the lipped songs. I mean, TPOL is painfully obvious, but TC tricked me! especially because thats one of the songs she did for sound checks

He's a rapper, what on earth could a man who has been shot 9 times have in common with Celine who sings love ballads? I don't think they would go well together. :ermm:
