I write in a journal every now and then. I came across an entry where in April 1999, I wrote about Celine being in Memphis and how much I missed seeing her show at the Pyramid. I worked in the Pyramid at the time and I remember my boss saying how he got a chance to meet her and how nice she was. I was so close, but so stupid to not have gotten tickets. :bann: :bangin:

 

I was at that concert in memphis! It was my very first Céline concert!!!! At the Pyramid! Do you live in memphis now??? I always hate driving by the Pyramid and just seeing it idle like that unused, after it was the source of such a magical night for me and Céline :) I was about 15-16 and remember that night had made me the happiest girl in the world, to be in the same room as Céline :wub:. As we left I watched through the back window as the Pyramid got smaller and smaller in the distance, wanting to cling to every second of it! haha ;)

 

Yes, I still live here and whenever I see it, it reminds me of what I missed :cry:

Um the best thing that could ever spontaneously happen JUST happened!

 

So I'm having spa night ya know, just me and the dog. Did my nails, deep condition the hair... Got my leopard print Snuggie on, reading, relaxing. I get up and head towards my bedroom door and I don't know what awesomeness possessed me but I was feeling it and out of NOWHERE I burst through the hallway door and run dowwwwwn the hallway in slow motion gathering up my Snuggie as I go singing "BABYYYYYY BABYYYYYYY"...STRAIGHT out of the "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" video. OMG. it was amazing.

 

I just had to share that with you.

I promise I'm not crazy. :lol2:

Lame, I know! The thing is, those DVDs are not available here. I only recently saw it on Amazon, so I immediately bought it. But it has been lying around for a couple of months now and now that I've handed in my thesis, I actually have time to watch everything.

 

Celine was fabulous! Loved Shania's performance too. I'm sorry, but Aretha would drive me up the walls... she is to much! That woman's screeching would make even a deaf person run away... or wake the death!

I didn't like Gloria either. Don't like her at all.

 

And Carol King, great composer but a terrible singer!

I like some of Gloria's songs, but I think she was a bit out of place among those singers. I agree that Carol King is a great composer, but not a good singer. I also thought that Mariah was a bit out performed by the others. Don't like her anyway... she also drives me up the walls...

 

Edit: O shoot, ''I wrote: ''wake the death'' in my previous post. :lol2: Wake the dead! I think it is time for me to go to bed...

ugh can't stand Gloria. If she would just stop performing those latino songs (I like latin music, just not hers) then she might be ok.

And Mariah, ugh, I am the ultimate non-fan

 

I totally think you should check out your newest DVD before going to bed :shifty:

I only went to bed at three this morning (had to print and bind everything). I'm now at that stage where I giggle about everything... and as you can see, I can't write proper sentences in English anymore... so I should probably go to bed. But I'll probably won't be able to sleep as I'm now past tired... Edited by Claudette

I was going to watch A New Day, live in Las Vegas. I haven't watched the show on DVD and the Sur Les Plaines. I've only watched the extras.

Then all the stuff I've downloaded from here

I haven't watched AND because it was such an amazing show and it makes me miss it too much. The show is very emotional to me.

 

And SLP *sigh* yeah I've heard it's a very beautiful show. I've seen half of it actually, but I'll watch the second half soon :) maybe tomorrow

yeah someone should ask her. Maybe she isn't allowed to talk about what other family members did but I'm sure she wasn't innocent :innocent:
