Andre-Philippe Gagnon was one of Celine's warm-up acts on the Let's Talk About Love tour so I guess Celine returned the favour and recorded something for his tour.

 

You're right Thomas it was in 1998, I thought it was long before the LTAL tour. :confused: I guess it's because we know him here since the 80's and he wasn't Céline's warm-up for her Montréal shows I don't think. Anyway don't forget Stéphane Laporte is linked also to the successes of Gagnon as his longtime composer and scriptwriter. So even more reason to want to give them both a little help :xmas_smile:

 

André-Philippe does a very good Sinatra, so I guess that would probably be for the "All The Way" duet.

Here is André-Philippe(as Pôpa) with Céline(as Môman) at the 1998 Adisq doing a very funny skit of the all time Québec favorite sitcom "La p'tite vie". :lol: Céline was SO funny and such a amazing comedian. Their sketch comedy was written by Stéphane Laporte. :xmas_smile:

I'm getting tired of all the waterpark articles popping up....it's not even that grandiose. I mean she COULD have a 50 ft slide. What is the big deal with some small slides, a lazy river, and a pool or 2? Geez.

agree, I see nothing wrong with it. If people have the money, why not spend it. They can't use it when they are dead anyway

When will the waterpark be finished?

 

I think it's fine to have it...Celine, Rene and RC seems humble enough. It probably would have annoyed me if it was someone else, but they deserve something this big. Celine has worked hard since 'I'm a little girl'. :)

For the Avatar movie promotion they've used Céline's name so much saying the song "I see you" sung by Leona Lewis was similar and written again this time by the same guy James Horner just like for MHWGO and bla bla bla....that now I read on Twitter many people thinking and saying Céline sings that song at the end of the movie. :xmas_rolleyes: I don't appreciate that at all :xmas_mad: because I don't like the song, that singer doesn't do it for me and I hate the fact that they're using Céline's name to promote that. Apparently they want to replicate the MHWGO success here. I don't think it will happen...but I have to say they're trying hard to make us believe it will be and do the same. Sorry, to me it's not the same, this success can't be duplicated by that song! :nono: Edited by Lou555

We have an Icelandic version of Wipeout and at the end some married couple were kissing and they played MHWGO in the background :xmas_laugh:

I know what you mean it's the down side for certain people of having such a worlwide and huge popular success with a song. But trust me it's every singer's dream to have one song in their whole carreer being half as successful as MHWGO. :xmas_smile:

yeah I agree. I'm glad that it was Céline who got the popular song like MHWGO, or else we might not have seen as much of her, we never know

Celine is kinda known as the person who sung the "titanic song", because that was the biggest song of her career. i think some people are sick of her because Celine does have enought big hits like MHWGO so they only listen to that song, that's why they're sick of it. Edited by Selina286

I just saw the movie and personally I wasn't that impressed, especially with the song. I agree with you. I don't think it was be as big as MHWGO. Musically, the song has the same vibe but llke I've heard before, a copy is never as good as the original. I think this was an attempt to copy the success they had before and it's just not gonna happen.

I think the movie looks really bad. I wouldnt go see it. Im not a Leona fan! Its a shame Celines voice isnt belting that track instead of Leona. I think Celines voice singing it would have sounded simply amazing! Oh well !!! :rolleyes:

The buildings are very elegantly done; I'm sure the back yard won't be tacky. But we'll see when they have it finished...

"Celine Dion has reportedly infuriated her neighbours over plans to build a water park in the grounds of her home. Celine Dion has upset neighbours over plans to build a water park in her home. The 41-year-old singer has reportedly enraged local residents who are less than impressed with her vision for the new addition to her $12.5 million property.

A source said: "There will be two giant pools, several waterslides and a lazy river, much like an amusement park." While Celine's eight-year-old son Rene-Charles and the rest of her extended family might be happy, some of the neighbours have made it quite clear they're not happy with her plans. A local resident told the National Enquirer "It's totally distasteful and demeans the whole area. I don't know how she got the well permits in there either, because the town is usually pretty restrictive with stuff like that."

It's not that big..... I don't even think of water park when I see it, just a reallly cool backyard. They can relax in the pool, which is the goal! To me it just seems like an upgraded swimming pool. Customized to what they want :) It's beautiful!

the other segment was Céline and Nancy playing golf in a studio lot...

me too, I was cleaning last night and had my TV in the living room on mute. I walk through and Celine is on my screeeen! It was the episode of the Nanny where she did a guest appearance in London! I knew it was super short so I fumbled around for the right remote with the mute button to listen haha :D

Totally agree with you. I don't think it looks anything like a waterpark. Lazy river like that is something I've seen at other rich peoples houses and a waterslide, what's wrong with that?? pff stupid people
